Teams don't reach Super Bowls all that often. If you screw up a chance to actually get to one of those games and win it, but you're not around because you've taken action to bonehead yourself off the team, it is a memory that will eat you up for the rest of your life.

Nobody will top Lawrence Phillips for me.

I still have a lot of fond memories of Aiyuk. I just don't understand wtf the guy is thinking. He could help get this offense to even another level of greatness and yet he's choosing to basically give the middle finger to all his teammates and coaches with a chance to make a run at the SB. It's bizarre as hell.

I'll admit I've thought about moving it out of spite...still think it's a mental health situation with the guy. Just doesn't make sense why he would walk away from all that money and not even try to play this year.

It's extra bizarre given he got a fat contract. Niners caved. He won! Why act like this? Only explanation is that he has cte or some other mental illness going on. I'd give anything to be a talented WR in the NFL. Tall, black, ripped, good hands, probably packing, great route runner. Give me all that, not him. Can't believe he's throwing it away

Jose Cortez for me. I used to get so pissed when he lined up for a kick. He was so terrible and we all knew it. Didn't help those teams were terrible too. Made Moody look like Vinatieri

Phillips is also the reason why Steve Young retired. That said he had a troubled mind and his life ended the way it did.
