We'll take a dead cap hit of 29 million either next season or spread over the next two if he release him with a June 1st designation.

I'm not a cap guy, but can't they trade him with post 6/1 designation and get the same result?

Do not let this idiot walk and give him the freedom to choose where he goes. They need to hold onto his ass and trade him even if it's for the last pick in the draft. Ideally, a s**thole situation with bad ownership, no QB and terrible weather.

I don't think he's gonna be as free as you believe. Every team just saw a quitter. This ain't Randy Moss-type talent that most teams will overlook.

I do agree that they should hold onto him, and work a trade with some team like the Saskatchewan RoughRiders for anything.

Agree with this. f**k this clown; look to trade him first to anyone for anything, if no suitors; then cut him post June. Still sucks with the cap hits. Never should've signed him after all that BS; I'm glad that it's HOPEFULLY a lesson finally learned to let diva ass WRs who requests trades get their wish. They don't wanna be here? Then f**kin don't let them be
Bummer. Always loved Yuk. He's been the best WR SF has had in a long time. Routes looked silky smooth. I'm sure it's deeper than "he's got issues" but I will still route for him.

So, if they DO win it all this year, does this chump get a ring?

I think it's up to ownership who gets the rings. So no

If they could get away with it, those cheap a*****es wouldn't give anyone a ring.
Dont trade or cut him, keep him sitting on the sidelines doing nothing and not getting paid for not showing up. Let the hit to the cap keep dropping the more he doesnt play.

I feel like the team trading for him would be taking his contract in this case. And no team should be paying this dips**t than kinda money
100% he's a commander next season

The league pays for like 150 but it's still up to the owner who gets em. So don't worry York ain't gottta pay for nothing but his soccer team

Can't wait to see Aiyuk on his new team. He's one hell of a player, and curious to see him with other QBs/coaches.

Hope the FO learned something from this fiasco, but I doubt it.

Aiyuk got $50mill is it? For half a season...

and the F.O. saved $$$ on rest of those years remaining and miss out on an All Pro WR.

They can now spend that money on another Kyle favorite.

If he can still play.

I can't see anyone putting up a big contract without seeing him play. He is likely to get a deal with big incentives if he stays healthy.

I loved the player but attitude issues were there from his rookie year.
This guy deserves nothing but the worst.

He made it clear in 2023 that he wanted to be in a system that prioritized passing more than running. He felt restricted in Kyle's offense. Maybe he was. OTOH, being in a system that run the ball well opens up the passing lanes.
