Yeah seems that the execs didn't want BA, but weren't micromanaging the situation so Kyle was able to run to Lynch's office right before the trade and get it called off when BA said he would sign. The execs then got pissed about that and the decision was made to trade BA at the end of the 2024 season. The catastrophic knee injury threw a wrench into this plan because now BA had no trade value/interest, further angering the execs. They then used the letter of the contract against BA to void the guarantees to give them an out after the 2025 season. BA didn't fight it because he would likely lose, and because he didn't want to be part of a team that doesn't want him anyway. And that's where things still stand.

And like I've said before, the focus for me as a fan isn't on BA's actions because there will always be players who do things I don't understand logically. Players come and go. What sucks about this is what this tells us about our FO and execs and the continued pattern of bad decision making

Great story if any of that was remotely true.

correct. that is pure speculation.

Which part is false? The knee injury, the organization's desire to trade BA, the fact that BA didn't fight the voiding, etc?

Obviously can't now, and even next season I doubt any team will.

Can't until the offseaaon. No one is picking uo that contract.
If we win the Super Bowl, he leaves to another team and never gets another ring you think he'd still flex the 49ers ring?
He needs to just warm his couch and go away. If he did come back just to showcase other teams with no intention to stay and he gets hurt again aren't we stuck with him? I don't even think about him during games. We will do something nice in draft or FA to bolster the WR room.

Brandon can watch the Commanders on Sunday ticket.

Easily one of the biggest b***hes that has been on the Niners in recent memory.

Selfish, greedy, stupid, childish, all the above.

Post June 1 cut while we recoup every penny we can from him while under contract and missing team mandated checkpoints

If they wait until June 1 won't that limit the FA's they cam sign. Just cut ties day one of FA and move on
