This b***h gone yet?
I hate this guys attitude but I would like him back because we need WRs desperately. The lack of playing Watkins to see what he has is frustrating when Bourne has come down back to earth without Mac, Robinson has been worthless and Ricky has been a no show since he came back

I guess giving him a $120 million dollar extension wasn't good enough

This is what I'm saying. The holdout was supposedly about money so now what are we doing here?

I swear Ricky isn't getting open.

How? They voided his guarantees and it's not just cause they want to teach him a lesson. Doing that is saying is clearly saying we need to part ways. Might as well go out and traded for someone else next season.

Winning changes a lot of things... if we come out on fire after bye week and win out, get to the playoffs, BA might want to be a part of that... another shot at a SB. If he's good to go, he can up his chances for a huuuge contract (Jerry Jones will pay large) with a good showing in post season

Nevada doesn't have state taxes either. Think that helps the Raiders?

Yes

Yes it would.

$120 million contract.

13.3% highest rate in CA. 0% in Nevada.

$120,000,000 * .133 = $15,960,000

$15,960,000 more in Nevada on that contract. That's quite a lot.

That's not entirely correct. Stater tax is based on adjusted gross income after federal taxes (37%() and other deductions are taken out. The 13.3% wouldn't be calculated on the enitre gross salary. Still his net income would be 13.3 % higher.

Not to mention the cost of nearly everything in California is the highest in the nation.

Can't blame him for wanting to move his $ out of that state.

Just my opinion but I would be more concerned about the quality of life than the money if I was making that much. He'll make more than he needs to live a lifesytle unlike any of us will ever see no matter where he plays. How much different will his life be with an extra 13% or whatevewr it ends up being? Las Vega is a s**thole and the Raiders are a terrible organization.

I have a feeling he is done. Its not like he can show up at the end with a smile and the other 50+ men who have been busting their asses all season to get to that point will just be ok with it. If he is healthy enough to play then he needs to get on it asap. (this is what's being hinted at, unless he's still recovering, but who knows anymore.)

Super weird and unfortunate situation. It sounds like BA has some incredibly stupid people in his ear. This is why teams try to dig into players as much as possible during the draft process, because of stupid nightmare stuff like this.
I don't buy the state tax issue even though that is an issue overall with free agents. If that was truly an issue with him he wouldnt have signed the extension and accepted the trade to Pit.

I agree. What about all the players on the Chargers and Rams and the other players on the 49ers. They don't seem to mind getting paid millions to play for a good team in a nice place. The taxes don't seem to be keeping them from living well.

Not sure how the discussion got turned into a tax issue with BA.

I did mention taxes, not as associated specifically with BA, but as it pertains to multiple factors in the decision-making of outside FAs.
