Yea but Jed is the owner and
IF
his money guy says that Aiyuk is a bad deal and the math ain't mathin then what should an owner do?

I am just a fan but from what I see is when you have a year left on your deal you owe me I have leverage. Now if I can pay you a year early you better negotiate like hell all offseason

because

once training camp hits you better have your ass out there day 1 or else all negotiations are off and you play that last year as is and I'm tagging dat ass in the offseason because otherwise im getting a guy not in shape to start the football season getting paid like he is and he's gonna underperform and has a greater chance of getting injured

This needs to be company policy and no coach or GM would get around it

Jed is owner
Paraag is president and executive VP
Lynch is GM
Shanahan is coach

There is a hierarchy bud

Kyle needs to let Paraag handle all contracts and money deals while he sticks to coaching

This already happened last offseason. Mike Silver and Tim Kawakami reported the 49ers' ownership basically made it clear that everyone is staying in their own lane moving forward ie Shanny will be coaching, Paraag will be negotiating and Lynch will managing the roster.

You sure? I swear that Lynch still says that all decisions still go through Kyle, I thought I just saw that in this past draft but I could be wrong.

Because Kyle has such a keen eye for defensive talent?

lol just change it to Kyle has a keen eye for talent. His eye for offensive talent has been just as impressive… CJ Beathard, Pettis, Joe Williams, Sermon, TDP, Gray, etc etc etc

I hope what Hero is saying is true so that someone can be fired for the horrible FA signings and drafts

re-sign JJ and draft Makai Lemon

Yeah, Mike Silver said that the organization wants Kyle to focus on coaching alone. If I remember correctly, he said that Shanny has final call on the 53 and that's it. He's basically been pushed out of all negotiations.

Honestly, I thought the BA deal was going to get him fired.

So who's making the personnel decisions? John Lynch? We are screwed.

So the only receivers scheduled to be under contract next year is Ricky, Cowing, Robinson and Watkins?

Don't forget AJ Brown. The next 49er great

Shnanny and Glynch don't want to hear no more crying Brown cries more than you bruh

No thank you to Brown. The guy cares more about his stats than winning a ring.

The only thing that bugs me is knowing we probably would've kept Deebo had we known this was going to happen.

If Antonio Brown doesn't go to jail (or stay long)... imagine him and BA and maybe even Kanye, will all be sipping on some drinks on a nice beach in Bahamas and just talking about weird stuff #BiPolar

Nobody that requests a trade moving forward should be resigned.

Why should his money guy be offering football opinions in disagreement with the football people (GM and HC)?

Jed should give the football guys a budget and let them know what the expectations are and let them make the decisions.

This is why GM after GM bowed out of the hiring process in 2017. We want you to be the GM, but Paraag's going to run salary negotiations and roster planning, the analytics department, trades, and we've already picked the coach (who will have final say over the 53 man roster). What exactly does the GM do here?

JJ can walk unless he takes a real team friendly deal and yeah it's looking like a 1st rd wr is an option. I just don't want one in the later rds with the way this damn team picks WRs

Well, Glynch is Shnanny's blonde bimbo so, he has to stay in his lane

And then what ? Look at JJ. He's been a shell of himself since he's been told he's gone after this season. He just goes through the motions so he can get collect his bonuses but his head's completely not in it. I'd rather have guys out there trying to play for the team not themselves.

Yup. I would argue anybody holding out long term can f**k off too.
I've avoided all the drama leading up to and following his big contract. Why is he acting like a diva now such that the team is looking to part ways? He got his money, he got injured. What else happened to turn this situation?
