The question is, will that guy come back and come back consistently? His salary is pretty f**king big with that answer being rather unclear.

I've traditionally been one of those 49er player loyalists that want to keep pretty much everyone. Guys like Armstead and Jimmie Ward I wish could still be Niners, and they were never legit star players, just good to very good.

But something was/is different with Deebo and Aiyuk......their very public ways of expressing dissatisfaction with the team never rubbed me right.

Compare that to Warner, Trent, CMC, Kittle, among our current star players....no comparison. Then you got a guy like Juice who makes nothing, released and still came back to this team passionately. A guy who never gets the ball, and seemingly is losing fans among the team, shows more love for this team than either of two "star" WRs that accounted for a lot of scoring/yards in 2023.

Now the 49ers are this organization that is releasing/no re-signing damn near anybody, and that attitude seems a year too late with Brandon. Last year if we had traded Aiyuk to Pittsburgh, ironically we would've probably gotten a better performance from Deebo despite not having Aiyuk on the team to make things easier. And then we likely could've moved Deebo this offseason anyway.

Just think guys, some of the biggest WR plays in the last SB were made by Jennings and Conley........not Aiyuk and Deebo. How TF can that be? I don't care about KC's game plan, injuries to any of our guys.....if you're in the lineup, these WR3/WR4 guys shouldn't be doing more.

Kittle gets a pass because he's Kittle. Just like Gronk did in that SB 46 versus the Giants were he couldn't do anything.

You bleed red & gold hardcore, you get my respect. If you don't.....you better produce like Terrell Owens if you want to be a diva and still be on this team.

My heart leans wanting to see Aiyuk traded 70% to 30% he stays.....

You can talk about the SB all you want but when the final play was to be made to win the damn thing BA absolutely cooked his guy for a TD if the line could simply just touch the guy across from them. I swear people forget how god damn good the guys been without #1 WR targets due to the system.

He ran a 4.5 at the combine.

I stand corrected. So, he's in the 5.65 range now.
Will be dumbfounded if he does anything of note anymore. That injury was one of those where, you see it, and think—there goes his career.

Especially a receiver.

Maybe with the rehab and fine tuning those ligaments, he won't lose too much of his speed.

GPS time, what's that?

They have monitors on the players that tell you their play speed. 49ers had that info from Aiyuk in college it correlated to be much faster than his 40 time

His MCL was fully healed before they did his surgery. That's why they waited for a couple weeks to do it. The MCL should be a non issue. People are just too online.

Where did you see that about the MCL? I thought the reason they waited was they had to let the swelling go down

Yeah, that was the all pro McDuffie that BA schooled for a would be td. Aiyuk is an elite route runner and separator. Even after his injury he would drop from a top 3-5 route runner to top 10? He's still extremely valuable to our team, not to mention Brock, who was very dependent on him and had great chemistry with him
