So he got his $30 million a year. Well Lynch just f*cked this franchise for good. Now every half-decent talented player on the roster is going to pull this s**t, because they know it will work now. Good job, John!! Gonna start calling him John FLINCH. He's probably going back to broadcasting next year, and doesn't care about the shape he leaves the team in.

I know bruh, Baalke - Tomsula/ Kelly were kicking so much more ass

That was fun. We do this for Brock next offseason, yes?

I heard Hargrave can be a post-June cut next year and then they save a bit over 20m in cap space. This is very possible.

Hargrave is gone
Hufuanga is gone
C. Ward is gone

Deebo is likely gone
Demo is likely gone

We will bleed talent we wish we could keep from here on out now that Purdy needs to get paid

Hargrave doesn't do much....
Hufanga is injured and was never fast. We got 2 young safety's that fly all over the field....
Deebo is always injured....

I'm actually ok with those.

Hargrave, yeah, I don't think has lived up to his contract. Okay pass-rusher, but last year showed we need a more stout DT against the run game.
I think we're better with (healthy) Hufanga. But given how promising some of our young safeties have looked, I think we can get similar production with them and not re-signing Huf to a hefty contract.
Deebo... I'm good to ride with him until his contract ends (or we cut/deal him). He was healthy down the stretch and is an important piece for our offense. Seemingly Deebo is in fantastic shape this year, so hopefully that translates to good health and a return to his All-Pro level production.

Hardgrave and Deebo are on this team past this yr (maybe one more yr) CMC is here for like 2 more yrs.

gotta keep the train moving

Yes, a few guys on here said that was the low deal so it's all good.

No, it's not all good. The 49ers caved and gave in. AND over paid. This sends a really bad message to the rest of the team going forward.

Doubt this changes anything. He had more leverage than most players. He is young and in his prime and going to be Purdy's best friend for years. Who can pull this? Kittle? Love Kittle but he isn't starting his prime. We would pull a Walsh and trade him. Warner maybe would have leverage but you see how much the nfl values that position long-term. Rams just traded their best for nothing. Our cornerbacks are great but we have been drafting porential replacements expecting we won't sign Mooney or demo. Who are you worried about?

I think a frontloaded contract is wise. Purdy's contract next year is going to be GINORMOUS, so they have to make sure they time the yearly cap hits correctly. I assume they'll backload that contract, since a QB is someone you envision stays with the team for the next 10 years.

I dont know. Aiyuks probably going to hold out in 2 years because all of the money is being paid now, similar to Trent.

I honestly think we are fine if we lose Hargrave and Hufanga. It's probably better for the salary cap too. That doesn't bother me at all.
happy this is over. The contract sounds fair.

They'll make it work. Believe me. Brock would have to do what he did vs Ravens for 17 weeks in order for us not to get him signed pre draft next offseason. Just be happy we have solidified our offense in an increasingly offensive driven league and now get Trent and get to the games
f**king finally
