Im sure Bell can easily replicate the performance that we would of gotten from Aiyuk.....
At this point it seems like the team has compromised enough.. IDK the details but the evidence seems to overwhelmingly point to Aiyuk simply refusing to sign until someone gives him what he demands.

You said players dont have a say but they do.

Explain. Are you saying that if Aiyuk says he doesn't want to be traded to X, then the 49ers can't trade him to X? You literally are contradicting yourself if that's the case

Disagree, Why would a team trade for him (give up any type of significant compensation) if he won't sign an extension? I don't get why people think players dont have any say in these types of situations.

Yes we can trade him to any team we want. But if he dont want to go then its basically a 1 year rental and he's gone. Hence no team is willing to give up much if he's not interested in signing an extension.

Plus your Reddick example further proves it. He was traded without his consent and now the team trading for him can't get him on the field. This is just going to make teams think twice about trading for a player that isn't willing to come.

He thinks we will cave as we did for Bosa but looking at our first few games I'm all for letting him sit out then six games in he had to report as our schedule gets more demanding. Then I would NOT pay the fines then let him then come back to earn a little over half the fifth year option then tag him and trade him. If I extended him I would not account for the fine money he lost and then he will see he will have to eat his losses and even when he came back he'd only get on the field for what snaps he's earned

When he does sign another teams deal the math will show he lost money this year playing around with us that he can't recoup in deals to come

These steps will serve to show anyone else coming behind him on a rookie deal that not playing out your contract has consequences that the CBA has weighted in the owners favor

This is overall bad strategy by Aiyuk because he ain't Bosa

No i'm saying why would a team trade for him if he doesnt want to go? Why would a team give up anything of significance? This isn't madden where you trade him to any team for a 1st rounder and everyone lives happily ever after.

Hassan Reddick is proving that. Jets traded for him and he won't play without an extension. Now they are losing a 3rd round pick.

Personally I've gone from: it's annoying to bring this up right after a Super Bowl loss, to get your bag Brandon, to you're annoying AF, stop being a little b***h

No he didn't lol. We just have a capable QB now.

I mean we can say Brock needs a capable WR all the same….looked pretty bad last preseason game.

lol soooooo what exactly are you disagreeing with again? You leaving out my tidbit about if the 49ers like the compensation. As I said, Hassan Reddick is proving MY point, a player having ZERO say. Imma go with the not the brightest comment

lol was gonna say the same thing. People still thinking that Aiyuk has any say in this. If and where he goes is 100% up to the 49ers. Yes, Aiyuk can say that he wouldn't sign an extension, 49ers can still trade his ass anyways if they like the compensation. Hassan Reddick knows the feeling

Brandon is good but if we, let's say, that we never drafted Brock. I mean..BA would be lookin at a whole different scenario, especially, after Jimbo was out.

With Bosa, that was different. Definitely the best defensive player in the league at the time. DPOY, dude was in beast mode. He was not replaceable. I love BA cause of the chemistry he has with Brock and want him to stay but at the same time..I feel like he could be replaced. I am back and forth on it..but I don't feel like we desperately need him.

I don't know how to explain it any further. All i'm saying is Aiyuk does have a say bc he simply doesnt have to sign an extension with the team that trades for him. Thus no team is going to give us fair value. Thus Aiyuk does have some say in this.

It was reported yesterday Pit was willing to give up a 2nd round pick and offer him 26 million but Aiyuk wouldn't agree to that number. Do you think the Steelers pull that trigger knowing he won't agree?

I'll give BA credit. I thought he would've folded by now. Dude is apparently sticking to something.
If I was management, if he does not sign, I would roll the dice and make him play on his 5th year option. The last thing I would do, however, is trade him for just picks and not a comparable veteran WR.

The only other option would be to find a team willing to take the 2nd and 3rd picks from Pitt and give us a comparable veteran WR.

We are in win mode now!
He reminds me of Michael Crabtree. Wants to get paid #1 money for being the #10 pick. Because he's "#1." He's "the best." Wants to hold out the entire season and re enter the draft the next year. This is becoming about equivalent.
