that means he goes to Pittsburgh, and I don't think the Niners want that. but who knows at this point.

I still think the more likely scenario is that he stays in San Francisco" ~ @AdamSchefter #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/nqnSvczhkg
Just get the damn deal done. A 2nd and 3rd does f**k all for this team this year you need BA. He's also the youngest weapon, he should be growing on same timeline as brock

Why? 49ers have 0 obligation to trade him

lol was gonna say the same thing. People still thinking that Aiyuk has any say in this. If and where he goes is 100% up to the 49ers. Yes, Aiyuk can say that he wouldn't sign an extension, 49ers can still trade his ass anyways if they like the compensation. Hassan Reddick knows the feeling

Disagree, Why would a team trade for him (give up any type of significant compensation) if he won't sign an extension? I don't get why people think players dont have any say in these types of situations.
Yes we can trade him to any team we want. But if he dont want to go then its basically a 1 year rental and he's gone. Hence no team is willing to give up much if he's not interested in signing an extension.
Plus your Reddick example further proves it. He was traded without his consent and now the team trading for him can't get him on the field. This is just going to make teams think twice about trading for a player that isn't willing to come.

Honestly I blame Brock Purdy for this whole mess. A true leader would have already grabbed Aiyuk by the short hairs and had a come to Jesus meeting with him. I guarantee Brock knows a few Priests that could have tricked Aiyuk into a closet and kept him there until he signed the contract.
SMH Brock has been on a steady decline ever since getting married

So give him a fully guaranteed 4 year $120m?
