I haven't cared all year what pundits think. And I'm not starting now. I'm happy here with my brethren faithful. I trust way more people here than I do the biased media. Go Niners crush those chiefs.

I don't either, I listen to hear some Niner news. Not sure if they ever get to any

lol it's not even media week...it will only get worse.

But honestly I have nothing against Mahomes, he's a ton of fun to watch...having said that I hope he has his worst game of the season next Sunday or even a decent game but ends up walking away a loser.

Whenever we play "great" QB's, they tend to have their worst games of their career

Yeah I agree. I did watch quite a few KC games this year. Yes Mahomes is awesome. Not denying that. But our defense is also awesome. So we'll see.
Here's how I envision the game playing out:
Chiefs win coin toss and defer.

Chiefs: 3 plays - punt
Niners: 2 plays - INT
Chiefs: 6 plays - Mahomes TD pass

Halftime: Chiefs 21-20

3rd Q

Just watched the KC vs Titan game. Just some observations. To stop the titan run game (king henry), KC had to go to a goal line formation. Otherwise even if they knew he was running the ball, he was still ripping 2 and three yard gains off the KC run defense.

KC has a mediocre run game, but a big portion of their run game is Pat Mahomes.

Finally, we are up against another Russel Midget type of QB that can scramble out of a pass rush. It's a good thing we have beat most of the off schedule QB's we've faced this year.

I think our run game can control the game. Titans were ahead 10 points but could not keep the lead because they couldn't convert 3rd downs through the air. We can.

We have to keep Mahomes on the sidelines, because it takes him a bit of time to warm up that offense of theirs. I think the cold weather has something to do with it at their home turf. Their WR's kept dropping balls or Pat overthrowing in the beginning of the game. That's how titans got the lead in the first place. Also titans defense was pretty good. However the titan defense got tired.

Pat scrambles at the end of the first half for a go ahead TD because the titan defense got tired after Mahomes converted a couple of third downs with his legs on that last KC drive in the first half.

Titans could not mount a comeback because they were unable to pass on that KC pass defense, but titans could move the ball with good play action passes. Titans had to abandon the run because they were behind and running out of time--- otherwise titans did have a lot of success on the ground.

I came away from that game feeling that we're facing Seadderall- all over again. Good that we beat those kinds of teams, bad that we cant make too many mistakes against KC or we will lose the game.

Absolutely no comparison between 2018 49ers and 2019 49ers. Throw that out. So much better team and personnel now. Not even close. Not valid.

I talk about that below, but it's the only simulation we have. I truthfully don't know how much the Chiefs roster has changed. They have Kelce, Hill, Watkins, Mahomes. Our defense and WR groups got substantial overhauls for the better. But if someone wants to see how the Chiefs and Mahomes will attack our defense, there it is.

Our defense was so much worse last year. So was our offense. Plus another year in the system for both the offense and defense young guys who grew up. Key free agents added, key draft picks, getting guys back healthy from injuries. There is just no way to compare this. Our team is so, so much better than that pile of garbage that played them in 2018. They just couldn't even hold a candle to this group from 2019 - 2020. I see no way to compare that at all.

I agree with most of this up to a point. It was our defenses second year under Saleh, so it wasn't completely new to them. Buckner, Armstead, Thomas, Warner, Sherman and Ward were all on the field. Our pass rush has obviously been massively upgraded with Bosa and Ford, which makes our secondary look better this year. Reuben Foster was out there. As much of a jackass as he was off the field, he did fly around and make some stuff happen, similar to a Kwon Alexander replacement. Tartt wasn't playing for some reason. Hurt, I guess. So, it really boils down to how much difference Bosa and Ford make. Their presence has been pretty huge, but it will need to be, because Mahomes had no problem evading pressure and picking us apart. On the offensive side of the ball, we are just executing a lot better, have more quality RB depth, and the Deebo and Sanders additions are huge. I think it's going to be a very good (unfortunately nail biter) game. Vegas line is probably pretty legit.

Just watched the highlights from that game. Ward was on the field but he started at CB, Not FS which he has been playing this year. Sherman did start at Cb but from what I could tell he got hurt at some point and Witherspoon came in for him. BTW from what I could tell Sherman really gave up nothing when he was playing. Foster and one of the other three linebackers # 48 played terrible. They were missing a ton of crucial tackles, especially early in the game.

So we are talking about a game where are 2 safetys were two guys who are not starting for us this season. Hell they might not even be on the team. One of our corner backs in that game is now playing FS for us. Are best CB went down at some point in the game. Two of the three starting linebackers who played terrible in that game have been replaced by different players. Then add the fact that we were without both Bosa and Ford who are two best edge rushers. That is not some small difference in the player who were playing that is a huge difference. That not even mentioning that game was like a year and a half ago. That game tape is practically useless at this point.

#48 is Fred Warner. He switched numbers this year. The tape is not useless. It's basically the same Chiefs offense against a significantly inferior version of our defense. The DC and 2/3 of the personnel were the same. What it illustrates, and what it highlights for the Super Bowl, is that Ford and Bosa need to have strong games (as they have most of this year) to lift the rest of the defense. Most notably different on offense is Deebo and Sanders, who have lifted our overall passing game a lot, though not as dramatically as Ford and Bosa on D. If we have good games from those four key players, and cut down on the penalties that killed us last year, then we should be able to flip the script and come out on top.

Lol. Yeah we had many games at end of season when I thought my heart might stop. Then 2 playoffs games I could actually enjoy. I'm hoping we don't have to go back to end of season type of games. If the pathetic Texans can go up 24 points. Why can't we?

The media takes are really funny:

95.7 the Game: "Lets not pat Jed on the back, just yet. He got LUCKY Elway chose Joseph over Shanahan. He got LUCKY Jacksonville went with Marrone."

-Pretty much yesterday's show discussed whether or not he should deserve some praise for the turnaround. The hosts and the morons that called in pretty much trashed him the entire show.

"I would feel the same way about the 49ers going into this game if KIRK COUSINS was the QB. It's the system. Shanahan is the best play-caller in the NFL. Only Baker & Jameis had more games with an INT. If Jimmy Garappolo is better than I think he is, then the Chiefs have no chance of winning this game because the 49ers are a more complete team. There's a reason the Chiefs are favored."

-Nick Wright

This is why I don't watch TV or listen to the radio anymore (not because they are saying mean things about my team, but because of the sheer ignorance of these "analysts.")

why the hell do people legit think Mahomes is as quick and elusive as Wilson?? Titans LBS are no where near as fast as ours and their d line other than Landry got no pressure on him. On that TD run that got everyone wet in their pants Titans looked like a peewee team trying to tackle the bigger kid that got held back multiple years. You can just see with the eye test that Mahomes is nowhere near the level of runner and elusiveness as Wilson, Jackson and Murray. Im sure Mahomes can run around on defenses with front 7's as slow as Houstons and Tennessee

It's not all sheer ignorance. They are doing what their bosses tell them to do. We are hated. That's not going to ever change.
