SF 49ERS vs GB PACKERS Pregame Thread - 2019 NFC CHAMPIONSHIP

Our defense is fantastic without question, when everyone is healthy, and especially the front 7, and yes Rodgers isn't what he is used to be but NEVER count out a savvy veteran especially one that has been to the top. Shanahan is totally correct in telling the team not to overall look these Packers. One freakin game at a time boys.

As the 1 seed at 13-3, SF beat MIN in the div round then faced GB at home

Young was 36, Favre was 28

I was laughing because they were interviewing Rodgers about that game and he said, well, we had one really nice drive. Haha...that entire drive was aided by the officials in a clear effort to make that game competitive before everyone tuned out at the end of the first half. The Packers literally did NOTHING that game. I'm hoping for a repeat.

Their LBs are way worse than Minny's. Their CBs are better but not their safeties.

The way Kyle likes to scheme and Jimmy who loves the middle of the field, I will take the weak LBs as a tradeoff for GBs better CBs. They will gameplan for Kittle but they have absolutely no answers for him. They lack anyone talented enough to limit him. Kendricks is one of the best LBs in the league and Minny had tremendous stats against TEs.

I would run two TE sets at them at different times. If they play 3 safeties, Kittle is a tremendous blocker, we will run it down their throats, until it's time to kill them with the play action.

Like you stated, if Packers want to trot out a dime look, the 49ers will force them out of it by putting in Juice and Kittle. If the Packers insist on matching that with Dime, then the 49ers pound the rock.

Which is probably why we didn't see Kittle much in the passing game. Have a really good D against TE's? Put Kittle in the position he loves most... hitting people.

Listened to Warren Sharp this AM, who is an analytical guru he put out three nuggets on SF vs GB ya'll are gonna love this

-GB is one of the worst teams in the NFL defending the middle of the field. Guess who uses the middle of the field more than any team in the NFL? SF. Guess who has the highest success rate? SF

-GB is one of the worst teams in football defending pre-snap motion. Guess who uses it more than any team in the NFL? SF. Guess who has the highest success rate running off pre-snap motion? SF

-GB is one of the worst teams off of play-action in the NFL over the course of the 2nd half of the season. Guess who has one of the highest success rates off of play-action? Yeah you know...SF. Also their pass rush sack rate off play-action is...drum roll...0% lol.

He tied this into last weeks game vs Seattle and how successful they were when throwing to the middle of the field, using pre-snap motion, and play-action...thing is they hardly used any of that (dummies) also talked about how much success SF had vs GB the first time doing these things.

So in conclusion, if SF does basically what they've done all yr we're in a good spot

Kittle on his own is perhaps the best blocking and receiving TE. Thank you for mentioning Juice, who the same can be said of at the FB position.

We were mocked for giving Juice that contract and Kyle was mocked even more for calling him an "OW, offensive weapon". Let's see what our weapons can do.

The funny thing about that video was he says it wasn't a blowout, yet he precedes to talk about how the game became a blow out.

I'm sorry, anyone thats that biased should not have a job on a network like NBC or ESPN. That's f-----g ridiculous. Heath Evans was the worse. Not gonna lie, when Karma bit him in the ass I kinda laughed. F-ck him.

I am sensing a lot of out side zone runs and swing passes to the backs on the perimeter. Clogging the middle of the field seems like a bad idea versus a zone run team with 3 running backs and a full back that can all catch.
