If our d-line is the best in the league then they can prove it this week. The numbers don't really support that assertion yet.

Not angry at all, just calling out your bs agenda that you push non stop. Plus it's not an opinion, it's a fact. Nick bosa is the odds on frontrunner for droy by oddsmaker, not burns. Their dline is very solid, ours is better

I think you're mostly right.

LB: The Panthers may have the best LB on the field, but don't know about the best LB group
ST: There is just no way I can say this goes to the Niners with the way Gould has played. He is literally the worst kicker in the NFL right now.

I think this game will be higher scoring than most think. Panthers get sacks, but can give up points as well. McCafferey is a major wildcard.

Yes. It would be dumb to attempt to marginalize Kyle Allen as a "backup". He is much better than the "backup" title would suggest. Also, he has unseated Newton as the rightful starting QB of this team.

Elevated and playing better against sub par competition is nothing I'll lose sleep over. This D has held far better WR in check thus far. Kyle Allen won't be the one to dice up this secondary

i became a niner fan cuz in iowa. in 1972 all my friends like the vikings. i wanted something different and i liked the niners name and their colors. and sally mcmillan in mcmillan and wife wore a gene washington jersey to bed every night and she was alot of boys wet dream so there you go. lol. my 2 daughters had no choice but to be niner fans ., thus their husbands had not choice but to be niner fans.. so five years.. did you watch the niners beat the panthers in the playoff game or was that before he liked them

I wish I had forced him too lol.

He was starting to like the Panthers but was only 6 years old so no true allegiance yet lol. It was the next couple years when Cam Newton became MVP and they went to the Superbowl that he really became a fan. He is as big a sports kid as you'll find.

Gould is fine. Once we get our long snapper back and the timing of the kicking game comes back, you'll see. Nothing he's missed has put us in a real hole or cost us this year. Tampa lost to the Giants because their kicker missed multiple PATs and a PAT-distance FG at the end of regulation. The Rams lost in Seattle when their kicker missed a FG at the end of regulation. There are far worse kickers, far less clutch kickers all over the league than Gould.

I don't know why that matters. That's like saying throwing pick sixes don't matter so long as we still win. It's still a massive problem and unsustainable...particularly as the schedule toughens up.

I know people are acting like the only reason he is missing kicks because of a snap. But that only happened once. Also, why is he getting paid like an elite kicker if he can't overcome unfavorable issues? Crap snaps or not... he needs to hit kicks. Particularly the ones under 50 yards. He was paid like a guy that would make those a non issue.

To be fair, one can make an argument that the Panthers have the best front four in the NFL statistically. They lead the NFL in sacks. They are 4th in pass yards per play.

Also, the Panthers faced Jacksonville who is 4th in the NFL in sacks and still put up plenty of points. This one won't be easy.

They're also towards the bottom of the league in rushing yards allowed (119 per game) throw in that's 3 games vs TB and LA who are not good running teams this yr. Run D is just as important when talking about the DL.

Also the talk of sack #s is overblown....listen, both teams have played 6 games BUT the Panthers have had 238 passing attempts on that defense compared to 163 pass attempts on the SF defense. The Panthers have had 75 more attempts at getting sacks compared to SF. That's why throwing out % of QB pressures is MUCH MUCH more important than sack totals. It's like saying Big Ben was awesome last yr because he threw for the most yards, no crap he threw the ball 675 times

Can't get massive sack numbers when you're not rushing the passer a ton, SF gets quality pressures when they do though.

He's playing mistake free ball, that's about it. easy to do when you hand it off to McC and are throwing screens to him. He's 18th in the league in Y/A, which is a good indicator of if he's doing anything or just dumping it off. Kid has gotten sacked 10X in the past 4 games as well.
