one thing is for sure. monday night football was better back in the day. the yellow sports coats. howard or dandy don drunk. the half time highlights which all kids my age then stayed up for

I believe the NFL let the Browns keep their history. That's why the Ravens have an est. Date of 1996. If memory serves that was one of the concessions Modell had to make and it was announced that Cleveland was getting an Expansion team back.

That's correct. In fact, 49er ownership was instrumental in keeping a team in Cleveland.

Back in ancient times before the Internet and ESPN, the halftime highlights were the only opportunity we had to see a lot of teams, if only for a few seconds.
