Barely beat the Steelers with new QB

So what? People should be cautious of buying in. We've been atrocious for years. Literally the 2nd worst team in the NFL last season. They'll all come around if we keep winning.

the past 2 weeks ive been upset with mcglinchey. he needs to reset with this bye coming

He looks lost without Staley doesn't he?
Do they usually play with help on his side and this game shifted it over to Skule? I admit I don't pay close attention to line play.

really has nothing to do with staley since hes on the other side, hes just flat out getting beat not moving his damn feet. Then the stupid penalties in Cinci

lol we turned the ball over 5 times. If we had no turnovers, and Witherspoon hadn't gotten hurt, it's probably another blowout.

Several things upset me about the game and i assume upset the coaches. we see how the loss of joe hurts. jimmy got hit way to many times.. i know some will say. meh. thats football.,. no.. we can not have that continuing. turnovers were bad and not pleased with the start. but i think most logical fans knew this would not be a easy win. the steelers would give a good effort and we can not be that arrogant to think we can roll over people.. however at the end of the day. we had a team for the first time in forever do a perfect two minute drill to win a game and the defense held.. in the last two years we would have found a way to lose the game. so that winning mentality led by jimmy at the end of the day and ... pettis.. was very very nice to see;. for the last two years i have said.. we always find ways to lose games but yesterday we finally found a way to win one which was wonderful. the turnovers and hits on jimmy are troubling and i hate saying alls well that ends well. but you have to be happy that we found a way to win a close game and the moral victory guys from the last two years must admit. the real victories feel better

The hits are on the OLine not working efficiently. Probably stifled our run game as well. The lack of depth here and inexperience is hurting us. I am not blaming it Skule. He is green and did what he could under high pressure. The lack of work and depth is on coaching and management.

agree, i am trying not to be hard on the kid to. i understand.. we need to enjoy the win. be happy we are 3-0 and i am.. but long term. big picture.. jimmy can not get hit like yesterday moving forward

The hits on Jimmy had nothing to do with Skule. Steelers continuously sent more blitzers than blockers. It was a risk that did not pay off, jimmy did not get rattled and made them pay for the lack of people in coverage.

correct observation. cc doesn't understand the Steelers constantly blitzed safety's and extra rushers all game long.

ok, again. i was not trying to throw the kid under the bus. just concerned about jimmys health after sunday.. you do not think all teams will then do what they did to us? we better expect that stuff . there are no more secrets. just need to show improvement there

Haters.
Even during the game, Trent Green seemed so disappointed when the 49ers didn't fold.
I'm gonna steal a line here from Apples new advertising campaign..
It's not about being the loudest voice. It's about having the final word
49ers won.
Still undefeated

I know what you mean
I was joking that he doesn't seem to have the same fire and enthusiasm.
Poor attempt at humor I guess

Opposing teams are 1-8 and the Browns likely to come to Levi's at 1-3, so I'm not surprised that analysts are doubting the good start. 5-0 start with a win over the Rams and people will buy in.
Only coverage of the game I've seen so far had mentioned the Steelers have the best head coach that there is to dig them out of this 0-3 hole they are in along with the QB to do it. Also the 49ers should consider that game a loss because the Steelers let them off the hook. Had the patriots won a game like this it would be coach bill and Tom Brady are so resilient and their defense is elite lol. I look forward to the day media outlasts don't have a choice but to respect the 49er franchise.

Another week I don't have to avoid watching NFL Network . Last year, I hardly ever that that channel on.

s**t problem is they dont even talk about us other than a half assed highlight. They talk more about Buffalo 3-0 than ours

ESPN left us off the list of 3-0 teams, lol.
All wins W's not come easy, we wont beat every team by 20+ points.
But this is the difference between this team an our teams of the past two years- Good teams find ways to win, even through all the turnovers, and penalties etc.
at the end of the day we walked away with that Victory!
like the man Vin says,

It's an INT if it's Pettis....he don't step in front. Deebo got that Dawg...Pettis got that Cat

I stand corrected. The cat redeemed himself...for this week
