That would be exciting to watch

McDonald-Halton-Osa-Bosa

or even

McDonald-Osa-Thompson/West-Halton-Bosa

I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Save Lynch and company from reaching on a DE who will just get injured
Jets aren't trading anyone this early if they keep winning. Best to pluck someone from a losing team at the deadline. That's normally when trades occur
How about this damn rep from Halton? He executed the little things that CJ West is struggling with right now ex: firing off the ball with his hands and landing good placement(inside bicep+outside sternum *chefs kiss*); dropping his weight and leaning into the pressure from the incoming combo block; realizing the center is leaning and throwing him onto his face. So good!

Gracen Halton was an awesome pick. My favorite pick in the draft. I mentioned it a few pages back, but this is a slight technique adjustment upfront that I pointed out during the game with the nose playing a 1technique and keying the center instead of the guard.

Wait until we get the coaches film and you guys see CJ West getting driven from the A gap to the C gap and then pancaked.

He is getting destroyed out there today.

I think it's safe to sound the alarm because he's been bad since the preseason.
Hopefully McKinley Jackson is up next week and CJ West is working at McDonald's.
Not giving up on West. Both he and Collins got some hard lessons. Going to take some time to develop these guys. It is sad however given that you expected both to be run defenders early. At least West will have this year to continue developing.

2nd play in this video is the one I was referring to in the post above. Got damn, this clip is bad. It's so, so bad. 55 on the Dolphins is a stud, but CJ West has been getting his ass handed to him by everyone from the preseason to now.

This dude's assessment is spot on. Horrible technique, fundamentals in conjunction with straight up looking fat and out of shape. I said the exact same s**t in the Raiders preseason game about CJ West throwing his technique out the window and relying on brute strength.

The first one would've been holding if one of our olinemen did that... 55 uses West's momentum plus he did pull him down a bit, not really manhandled

To your main thing, the 2nd one... he's being double teamed, so is 92 (that's respect) shortly after, 71 crashes into the pile and West gets driven back a bit more before that pile becomes 5 or more guys (including our guy 57). CJ loses his balance at the end while dude lands on him

I'm not a West apologist, but if I'm his attorney (before he hangs) I'm watching this step by step (pause / play) to see the whole entire thing play out one tick at a time

He's no beast for sure, but that 2nd play in the clip doesn't even go 5 yards. It took 4 of their olinemen to two of our Dline (including West) which gives our speedy LBs / DBs to clean up, which they did.

He got much to learn, and I'll talk crap once they bench him. But if they keep him in, I'm guessing it's because he gets doubled a lot

First rep is a beautiful snatch technique from Aaron Brewer. Just flat out whoops CJ West who gets too far over his toes and doesn't bring his hands and feet with him. It's not holding if you're clean with your technique. Trent Williams is famous for this exact move. He uses it quite literally every single game.

Yes, the second play is a combo block on an inside zone. His job is to stay in his gap and not get displaced. Instead, he gets blown 5 yards off the ball as he's been doing against combo blocks since the preseason. The main reason he was drafted was to help stop this, not add to the problem. The ending is irrelevant. It just adds insult to injury for CJ West.

Brewer (in his mind), "they have a child on me bwahahahaha"

Hence we wanted a real beast, but Tampa didn't want to give him up

We got what we got... he better shape up or his sloppy azz gonna sit more often
