This might be the worst DL I've ever witnessed

Haven't been a fan long?

Think I saw a stat where we have the worst pressure rate since 2016 of any team in the NFL add how we just got ran over it's up there for sure

Ironically, 2016 was the year where any and everyone could run on us. I'd vote for them as the worse D-line. Gave up over 150 yards per game at nearly 5 yards a carry. I think every RB looked like an All-Pro that year against us. This group gets an asterisk since they are starting guys that would not be starters. No one intended for Bryce Huff to play on base downs. 2025 is the worst pass rushing DL for sure, but again, top two guys were out and we saw there wasn't much else there.

This defense is the worst collective defense in the Shanahan era. It's not particularly close. They maybe have 2 starting caliber players on defense currently. They really f**ked up so badly that they're going to have to completely rebuild this in the offseason. 2017 you knew they weren't playing for anything meaningful.
They need to make some changes in the playoffs if they plan on winning any games. Maybe play 5 man line on running downs.
Insane from how this organization went from having top and deep dlines to the worst as years went on. Blame it on horrific team decisions on who to let go and sign and most importantly horrific bs drafting

I think injuries is what screwed the DL this year. Bosa, Mykel, Huff, Collins, West, Davis, YGM, Sam O would've been more than formidable if healthy.

Would've obviously still had room for improvement, but it would've been nowhere near the s**t show we are seeing now.

Our issues are bugger than injuries....the guys we have out there are not even playing sound football. Coaching might need to be a addressed as well

Yes, everyone is giving Saleh praises, but communication errors continue throughout the season. This is a coaching issue. Bad tackling is a coaching motivation issue. Saleh has not been consistent this year.

I think to many people here are evaluating him with rose colered glasses from 2019 and refusing to acknowledge some of the unacceptable mistakes happening right now.

So what are the odds that both Williams and Bosa are ready to go week 1 next year? As much as I dislike the team drafting DL in the 1st round every year, they need this unit to improve big time. Sucks because OL, WR and LB are also such big time needs.

Bosa should be good to go. He got hurt week 3, about the same point he was hurt in 2020. Williams has at being ready. I'd say 75% both are ready by week 1.

Totally agree. Huff and YGM as your number 3 and 4 DEs is a solid team. Having those guys as your number 1 and 2 guys is a no no. I think our rookie DTs would've been able to do more as rushers with the presence of all those others guys that would draw more attention.

I think Bosa has a shot. Williams slim to none.
Givens, Beal, Missy Elliot and Yetur Gone Missing can please go immediately. If Huff and Acorn Head don't return, I don't care

Beal has been really disappointing. Five star recruit going into college who never caught on at UGA, but it was assumed it happened because they were so deep. My hope was that he could turn into a 3rd down edge rusher, but we don't even have that. What's also interesting is that from a draft perspective, we have put so much capital into Dline but have only come away with Bosa, DJ Jones, and Mykel Williams. BTW I'm not saying Williams is a star, but he has shown to have impact, is a 3 down guy, not a liability, and is the 3rd best Dlineman drafted and it's not even close.

We seemingly have done better just finding guys floundering elsewhere or signing FAs. White, Ferrell, Ebukam, Omenihu, Huff, Ford, Jordan Willis were all traded for or signed with low commitments. Granted most picks at any position wont work out, but given the investment you'd think we would always have a dominating run game, DLine, and special teams and it has not quite been the case for various reasons.

The problem is of that list there is only one true starter with Mykel Williams being close. No one else is starter material yet.
