Facts. People that wanted Walker need to realize if it's 3rd and short or 1st down (because we are constantly surrendering first downs), he won't be very effective.

also he isnt just a run stuffer he is maybe one of the most athletically gifeted players in the draft and already has the strength to play in the NFL at 20

He has the length and athelthicisim to be a great pass rusher he just needs to learn how to use his hands better
This is exactly the type of draft that I was hoping they'd have when I wouldn't shut up about the terrible state of the DL after the season ended. The run defense has been straight ass for years now, especially up the middle, and I've been pounding the table for beef up the middle. It was so tiring of seeing offenses spam the same runs over and over again and displace the two interior DL all season long. With the best teams in the NFC being run-oriented offenses like the Eagles and Lions, it was extremely critical to upgrade the run defense if the 49ers wanted to match up with those teams. Everyone focuses on the pass rush, but there aren't many real rush opportunities if offense keep having short yardage or manageable distances on 3rd down.

That's not going to be an issue next year.

Surprising isnt it!
The line has to keep the LBs clean or things are going bad. It usually takes time for DTs to learn to control the line in the NFL so there are likely to be some big mistakes at times. Hopefully they come together quick.

I would not be surprised if Jordan Elliot and Evan Anderson begin the season as interior starters on base downs.

"castoff" is a little crazy for someone making $8M from the Niners and what $15M from the Eagles.

Or were you talking about Bosa?
