Highly unlikely he will stay healthy and be the player he use to be but even at 60% of what he was he is better than the trash we have at LB minus Fred of course.

It's a 1 year deal worth 7.5m. Not going to fill every hole in the draft realistically and this is a low risk deal.

People think there are a bunch of good 25 and 26 year old free agents available.

If he can stay on the field, and if all the injuries he's had through his career haven't ruined his game.

If you want to get younger and cheaper then you need to sit out free agency. Surely you wouldn't be complaining if we did right?
plus Dre is only 28 and that contract isn't bad. So both of your points are kinda of invalid.

None of our players can stay on the field, everyone is always hurt so he will fit right in if injured.

Agree. He is still just 28 also.
Great fit here too.
At that price it is a no brainer.

It's fine. But he's older and more injured. So don't expect the same impact. But I understand why they did it. I hope for the best.

Linebackers were not our problem last year. Pass rush and DB CB and S were weak against the pass.
Bethune and Winters were not trash.
Tatum Bethune averaged ~10 tackles per start (80 tackles in 8 starts)
Dee Winters had 101 tackles
