Shanny clearly doesn't believe in risking these guys in the pre season.

I have no proof, but I think this is a brilliant move. We just lost our back up tackle for no reason at all!

How do you fake an injury when a 300 pound lineman falls on your leg? Was that a fake 300 pound lineman?

Shanahan does not need to have him fake an injury to sit him. He sat tons of players last night who aren't injured. He can sit whoever he wants.

He didn't sit too many rookies last night, did he?

They are the type that need the action. This is a really dumb take. If Shanahan didnt want to use him in preseason then he wouldnt. Not using a rookie is extremely dumb and unprecendented. He certainly wouldnt fake an injury and get an MRI for no reason. I'd drop this argument.

I think it's still a good idea not to play Bosa, healthy or not. Same with Ford. That's a high stress position and you'd want both guys as healthy as possible going into the season.
Has he been seen since the injury? Is he in a boot? Wrap? Anything? I don't think I saw him during the game the other night. I was also drunk AF though. LOL

What are you saving them for, Giedi?

The games that matter lol?
I think the injury to Coleman should wake up the people who kept calling Bosa injury prone. Considering how severe his injury was we should all be thankful Bosa's wasn't worse.

Scary thing about playing in the trenches. If that leg sticks and some big mofo falls on it a certain way...odds are bad things are happening to that leg.

Hopefully he's good to go for week 1 because our depth at DE is still ass.

Good call!

if they are going to get hurt - let it be in a game that counts.

One time on a play I was blocking down on the NT from the guard position and as I was pushing him back someone from the other side landed on his leg. I heard the kid's femur break... it was messed up man but that's football.

Exactly. People so quick to throw out the injury prone label out there...it's just bad luck and biology and physics at work.

Now if a player keeps breaking their bones from tackles or hitting the ground or getting soft tissue injuries left and right.

We sure as hell need some good luck to come our way. This is getting super frustrating. I just want to see this team play their top guys. It's been so damn long since the bulk of our starters lasted the full season. Ironically I think that last happened in 2012 and somewhat in 2013.

Maybe people have different definitions of injury prone. But the facts are that he's gotten hurt at a higher rate than your typical starter. Is that cuz he's fragile? Idk. Doubt it though. Could be that he pushes too hard, or doesn't rehab properly. I hope they get to the bottom of it.

I don't think there's a single niner fan that would be comfortable with him having a high snap count. Especially like Buck had his rookie year at 87 percent.
If his snap count was high that would mean he is on the field all the time. Hence, I would love it.
