Grade 1: up to 6 weeks
Grade 2: 6-12 weeks
Grade 3: 3-6 months

Your scaring everybody, Command - 4-6 weeks is what we're looking at.

Yeah, if it's just grade 1 he'll have a shot for week 1. But we're the 49ers. So grade 3: 3-6 months.

Grade 3 indicates a complete tear of ligaments, can eliminate that grade 3 time frame.

Who is his backup?

Not a pass rusher.
Just another reason not to trust Robert Saleh...

Hopefully he'll be good for week 1. Let him rest. Sucks that it takes some of the excitement of preseason away but at the end of the day it's less risk for a player we need healthy for games that matter.

Sh*t luck but could've been a lot worse. Let's hope this is the worst thing that happens to him in his NFL career.

Myles Garrett had a high ankle sprain his rookie season and played in a game 31 days later.

Bosa's sprain happened 32 days before the opener in Tampa.

There's hope.

This is true

Dude, let's just hope he's good to go after the bye week without any lingering issues going forward.

Everyone was downplaying it yesterday saying at least he didn't have a high ankle sprain and would be a go week 3 of preseason, not looking at anyone in particular, Mayo.

Now here we are.

His dad just said..high ankle sprain and he could be out after the bye week
High ankle sprains usually are a problem that can be tricky and tend to linger. I wouldn't be surprised if he misses 2-4 weeks at some point dealing with the ankle. If he's not 100 then they need to sit him come week 1 b/c this s**t will only get worse and worse week by week if it's not healed up to begin with, See Matt Breida last year. .

I know, it was a joke. It's either grade 1 or 2 at most. 4-12 week range depending on the severity and his personal recovery.

That's what I'm expecting and hopefully it doesn't linger.

Very likely.

Armstead back to Big End, Thomas to Big LEO and SNICKEL.

No need to rush Nick back. With Jimmy G at Qb we should be able to beat any team and compete. Then add in Dee Ford and that's one scary defense. When Nick comes back, that'll be come one of the scariest defenses in the NFL.
Lynch said someone fell on his leg. I wonder who.
