It's not the end of the world if he misses preseason or a game or two. Our DLine should be causing problems anyways against TB and We should have Ford ready by Week 1. Get him right, have him ready for when we come home against Pit and Clev.

-Ankle sprain more serious than reported, elements of high ankle sprain
-Bosa to miss entire preseason, then reassess #49ers
"Then reassess". I'm guessing he returns after the bye. The new training staff will want to play it safe. They don't want to have another Breida situation where the injury keeps getting reaggravated
after the bye!? lmao no way, dude didnt tear anything or break it. relax, we'll see as week 1 approaches, doubt he wouldve walked off if it was crazy serious

There's hope.

Team is f**king cursed.
Biggest potential difference maker outside of Garoppolo and here's he's either out for all preseason or possibly even the first few games of the regular season, with the chance that it's an injury that hampers him all season.
I don't have much optimism with this one. I gotta say, being a fan of this team really starts to wear on ya after a while.

All this angst over a sprained ankle ... lol. He has already shown enough in this small portion of camp justify the hype. If anyone is going to get dinged, this time of camp is the best time.

The only way to avoid that possibility is to stay away from the action and if a player does that then he's not long for a job. What's important is how fast he recovers because he's always going to be in the middle of things.
Hey. Wait. You're being reasonable. Stop.

I believe guys are always going to be injury prone and soft like Jimmie Ward.
That being said, I'd still take an injury prone Bosa. Way better than freakin Marsh and Solly playing the edge spot

I'd rather guys like Thomas, Jones, Taylor and Day get the reps anyways in preseason. We were probably looking at the most 2 1/2 quarters of play from Bosa anyways.

#49ers GM John Lynch on KNBR: He says that Nick Bosa's ankle sprain is more significant than earlier report suggested. He said it's the "dreaded high-ankle sprain."

Grade 1: up to 6 weeks
Grade 2: 6-12 weeks
Grade 3: 3-6 months
Your scaring everybody, Command - 4-6 weeks is what we're looking at.
Yeah, if it's just grade 1 he'll have a shot for week 1. But we're the 49ers. So grade 3: 3-6 months.

Bad luck, that's all it is. Sh!t happens. Isn't a knee or a hamstring. Still gonna rack up 10+ sacks this year.
