DE Nick Bosa "Smaller Bear" NO POLITICS

Is it me or does Bosa look a tad less bulky this year? I've always thought the last few years he was too bulked up. Hope he slims down a tad and focuses on his speed…

If we run some 3-4 packages I'd think it'd be better if he was a bit more "bulky"

osa will be a huge boost for Bosa, IMO. Should help him a ton to have Osa on the interior. I think even Mykel Williams be a huge help to him. We may not have a ton of stars around bosa but a lot of really good players, IMO. I hope he has an incredible year

So 3 ACL surgeries and his career year was 2022, 4 years ago. Does he seem motivated by money? Yes he does and that is clear but he has 2 years left on his contract with 50 mill due in 2027. Not sure of the contract conditions for 2027. Regrardless, career year not happening. What are the effects of Morris scheme on Bosa. Maybe that helps him but is he willing to drop back into coverage at times. Does he benefit from more scheme blitzes?

You're allowed to have your take, i have no use with that. This is his contract year though because now he has no more remaining guaranteed $. His cap hit next year is $50M . So an extension will be necessary or trade him.

regardless if it's "career year" - I just hope its close to it. Him having a big, healthy year would be awesome for us.

What do you think his trade value is right now? What could we get for him?

It's hard to say cause he's coming off a major injury. If he has a really good year, I don't see why we couldn't get at least a first. Overall, idk but I think he would be pretty valuable.

id prefer to keep him, especially if he has an awesome year. If he would stop blowing out his ACLs lol he can play for several more years.

May be tough financially but who knows.

I think we should keep all of our good players.

Reworking his contract will create a bunch of short term cap space. I think it's def feasible. Would have to talk to AB about it but you should always be able to find the money for guys if his caliber and age.

Didn't they just restructure his contract? His cap hit next year is insane so they'll need to figure something out

I HATE a lot of players off the field. Can't stand them. (Bosa included) But I'll tell ya what...I haven't seen a SACKAROONIE since September and when he gets his first, I'll be jumping for joy and doing the Bosa Shrug in front of TV 1000000%

I understand what you mean, but context matters as well. He was coming off an insane year, and his agent got him the deal they believed they could get him. If the team didn't agree with that, they would not have extended him. That is how the business side works. I don't see how that affects his leadership abilities.

What matters now is his performance this year will dictate the deal he gets next offseason. I bet he's going to have a career year, or near that.

My friends can anybody see the necessity for the 2 brothers playing together on this team? We're super bowl contenders and they just might have the need to share the experience with their grandchildren. Makes me think of the great actor Richard Harris who had misgivings about playing in the Harry Potter movie. His 10 year old grandchild said she'd never talk to him again if he didn't take the role. That settled it. Who wouldn't want to brag about their grandpa?
Sometimes people have no say in what they do and that's can be good.
I suppose they could play at home together in Miami but the Dolphins would have to take a big leap forward.

Nick basically confirmed Joey is out of shape..or at least not in the shape expected of him. Just doing golfing for now.

Well Fred has always been the leader to me. With a DPOY one could argue Bosa has been at times the most talented. That said Fred is one of one at his position and is the undisputed leader of this defense. Bosa and his agent did their jobs with his contract so now I'm looking for him to do his job on the field commensurate to his contract. I think he can do it or come close to it but now is the time

He's great shape with no lingering issues from the injury according to teammates, so no excuses for Bosa not getting it done this season.
