Another thing... I don't think Bosa bringing attention to himself like this, helps his brother getting signed here. I mean Nick LOVES his older brother. That's his role model, after his Dad. But that can also be his enabler. You would think big bro would have told him to be careful with the s**t he does all these years. 9ers might not want more attention with the team.

But on the field stuff... speaking of his older brother. Who's basically only 2 years older than Nick. Joey is still looking for a job right now. He's had 16.5 sacks in the past three years, with missing many games due to injury. Nick has about 21.5 sacks in the past 3 years, again with him also missing games because of injury. I think we view Nick differently because he's on our team, and rightfully so because we are the ones who see what he can do on the field... when he's on it.

But the league is tough, I'm sure Joey Bosa fans said the same about Joey a year ago or something. And here is Joey still looking for a job, that will pay him what he feels he's worth. So yeah Nick has a close example of how you're never done having to prove yourself in this league.

I dont know. Joey took a pay cut to stay with the chargers in 2024, and took a 1 year prove it deal with the Bills last. Fans are always going be hopeful to see flashes of the player they once were (or potential that they have) but the contracts speak for themselves on what the NFL FO's thought of him.

And I think Joey can be productive but he's pn his Von Miller tour at this point if he decides to continue playing.

From a numbers perspective , the risk of a first time ACL tear is 1% - 5%

the risk of a 2nd tear jumps to 20%-30% (at least 6 times more likely )

After 2 ACL injuries you start wondering if there are anatomical pre dispositions .

I couldn't find data on the risk of a 3rd tear. 2 consecutive healthy years out of Bosa isn't something I would bet on .

If the F/O & Head Coach doesn't have a problem with Nick Bosa or his beliefs, why would they have a problem with his brother?

For all we know they (Head Coach & GM) could all be aligned with the Bosa's politically, I don't want Joey but I wouldn't say no to it for political reasons.

It's hard to say cause he's coming off a major injury. If he has a really good year, I don't see why we couldn't get at least a first. Overall, idk but I think he would be pretty valuable.

id prefer to keep him, especially if he has an awesome year. If he would stop blowing out his ACLs lol he can play for several more years.

I feel Joey either a) is done with football or b) doesn't want to do the training camp/preseason/etc prep and will just latch on with a team who sustains an injury later.

Bosa is the exact reason why I said Fred Warner is the leader of this defense. You give me a healthy Fred over a healthy Bosa and I will take my chances. I think more fans are coming around to this belief now. Bosa was insistent on a deal that eclipsed Super Bowl winning 2 time DPOY and 1st ballot HOFer Aaron Donald and he got it. Well, we have yet to get our money's worth so now is the time for Bosa to put up or shut up
