he was probably signaling to his Mother/Father and/or Girlfriend/friends who always come and see him.
Why this is a problem to some is weird to me.
I just hope he is okay and it isn't too serious of an injury. If we want to make real noise in the playoffs, going to need him.
Wasn't he just signaling to Lynch in the press box that he wasn't ok? I don't understand the confusion. He obviously had to leave the game.
It was definitely something along those lines.
Whether it was lynch, his gf, his family, a random fan etc... his face definitely was saying he was either hurt, not going back in, or has bad news.
It was not some sort of malicious gesture... And much more along the lines of "im disappointed and the news I am delivering is bad"

We are all entitled to our opinions. I just thought Bosa's "thumbs down" gesture was inappropriate.

I'm confused. What's the issue with the thumbs down?

You can feel how you feel. No issue there. Just don't expect many to understand why you feel that way.
I would call it disheartening cause it wasn't what I wanted to see.
inappropriate is him like flipping people off or yelling at his teammates/cosches, aka acting a fool. IMO.
but to each their own.

He gave a thumbs down sign to his parents BEFORE he went into the blue tent. Then a "so so" sign when he came out.

Bosa has a serious fanbase that depend on him. The "thumbs down" sign was inappropriate even if left to his family because the doctors had already ruled out the ACL. He gets people all worked up and this team depends on him. It's discouraging.
You would not see someone like Brock do that, for example.

According to a lot of people on here, Bosa is overrated/sucks/invisible/unimpactful.
If Bosa blew out his knee again, it shouldn't make a difference for the pass rush...right, guys?

This is an odd take.

Bosa is our best defensive player and got us the win at Seattle. If out longterm, I think you sign a very good rental. How often is the Super Bowl going to be in Santa Clara?

Again, why was it inappropriate? Genuinely curious. Nvm saw your response. I don't get it

Because he made the injury appear more serious than what it truly is. The ACL was ruled out. Why get his fans like me all worked up?

Its a sign he couldn't go for the rest of the game, which he wasn't able to.
