What exactly is the point you're making? If he's a) the highest paid defensive player in the game and b) relatively ineffective in the last two games it's completely fair to criticize… correct?

He deserved the deal.
He will return to form.
He hasn't earned his paycheck the first two games.

Those can all be true.

He's good. He's just not tj watt, or prime Khalil mack, or Aaron Donald. Doesn't mean he's not a good player just not game breaking.

He probably still gets 10-15 sacks this year if we're lucky.

also, he has created some pressure

Stafford got rid of the ball pretty fast so wasn't much opportunity to rush passer outside free rushers

Well sure...but to me it depends on the degree of criticism.

If you say he did nothing and outplayed by whoever got a statistical sack... thats pretty ridiculous...

If you say he's not playing up to the status of the highest paid defensive player or his own standards set in 2019,2021, 2022...that's completely fair.
