Major blessing in disguise. Get this guy ready for game one of the regular season. Training camp is for guys trying to make the 53 in my opinion. this guy is at least the third best corner on our roster.... maybe second best. Lets get ready for Tampa..... Go Niners

I normally agree with this but as much as JV has been injured he could use the work to knock off the rust and gain some confidence.

Yah, but he's not...
Everyone hates seeing these guys get injured in camp but I have a thought on training camp in general. You hear a lot of talk about shortening the pre season to 2 games and adding 2 to the regular season or just dropping 2 games. The problem is the owners want the revenue from the extra games so I doubt they will drop any. I'm not sure what adding 2 to the season would accomplish. I don't see a real difference if a guy tears up his knee in the 3 or 4th pre season game or the 1st or 2nd regular season game. It didn't help the Niners that Jimmy got injured in the 3rd game instead of pre season. We still lost him for the year.
You can't do away with camp and pre season because the players need that time to get in shape, learn whatever they need to learn and get used to contact. I heard an NFL vet the other day say he felt that lack of playing time in camp and pre season was contributing to the season ending injuries because the players just aren't ready for the real contact. I don't know if that's true but it doesn't seem like holding guys out of practice and pre season games is doing much to prevent injuries since they are still getting hurt. Wish there was an easy answer but the injuries are going to keep happening as long as you have 300lb guys smashing into each other at high speed. When someone that big falls on an ankle or against a knee there is going to be damage.

Injury prone? Cool. Staff loves him, especially Lynch...

Yeah Lynch should have signed the other ex pro bowl corner back in free agency
