Dee Ford was a good addition, not great. You could have got a stop gap guy for cheaper ,but dee ford has a ton upside.

Kwon is an awful signing. Could have got Jordan hicks, who is far superior for cheaper.

No quality safety or corner signings so far. Coverage from our secondary was our biggest problem and they have ignored it. Passed up on a ton of good safeties and chose to go with a low upside injury prone player because the coaches love him.

Added a runningback, which was unnecessary.

Awful. Hopefully they add some value free agents and kill the draft.

Nope pass rush was. And it's not close.

Our pressure rate last year was around average for the league. Mostly due to DeFo.

why do you keep saying this, the team clearly doesn't agree with you lol.

WR- was not addressed
Safety- was not addressed(Ward )
Corner- was not addressed
LB- signed a guy who will probably not play in pre-season
Pass rush- Traded for a guy with great pass rushing ability but only did it for just one year
OL- I would have like to see some depth added
RB- Glad to have Colman on board. Insurance if the Jet doesn't come back the same.

what an ignorant statement. He had 10 sacks a couple of seasons ago.

We had league average pressure rate. The outside rush was for sure an issue, and they addressed it. But EPA when targeting receivers against us was dead last. Our secondary was awful, and rated the worst in the nfl per pff. Even if you don't think the secondary is the biggest problem, It's atleast the second biggest, in terms of resource allocation. It's not even that they didn't sign earl or high priced free agents. They have devoted zero resources to it so far.

Better rivals had a good breakdown on why coverage is more important than passrush at the end of the day. You can negate a passrush with the short passing game, ala chargers v Patriots in the playoffs. You cant negate great coverage. I guess let's pray that AC and akhello rebound.

I don't know about that with Matt "Jonas Jennings" Breida on the roster. Who did we end up starting at running back to close the season? I was mocking us a running back in the draft -- now we don't have to unless it's too good to be true.

Look at all the guys we were able to get production out of, not to mention we have mckinnon? Breida missed his first game since highschool last year. We have two of the highest paid runningbacks on the roster, now we are going to add another high priced player to a postion we literally can sign people off the street and get decent production from? Dumb. They could spend that 5m per year on a corner or safety. Corners and safeties are far more important to team success.

For those looking for a shut down corner i have to ask "Like who". There aren't many shut down corners anymore because the NFL has made it darn near impossible with the rule changes. The days of guys like Darrell Green, Rod Woodson, Deion, Jimmy Johnson and even Eric Wright are gone. You didn't even try to throw in their direction.

PFF grades(Dee Ford):

2014: 53.4
2015: 54.9
2016: 63.6
2017: 59.4
2018: 87.7

*Sorry for the misleading. I said pass rushing ability but PFF grades are overall productivity.

And thats why this team will never have a winning season under this regime.

He did have a 10 sack year as well. I know on this team that's nothing but I will take it.

Why is Hicks superior???
He's more consistent, a better tackler, and a better coverage player.
Grades the day after signing FA's make no sense whatsoever...so I won't play that game. Overall, I'm happy with what Lynch has done so far. He got a top flight PR, playmaking young LB, dynamic RB. They're hosting CB Jason Verrett and may sign him if he passes his physical. They re-signed Jimmie Ward to a 1 yr "prove it" contract. They extended LS Kyle Nelson for 4 yrs. Re-signed OL Mike Person. There was no way Lynch could fill all the holes just in FA, but he tried. That's all I can ask of him.
I give a C-. Despite all the talk, here's the bottom line, if you're gonna win in this league, you need touchdowns touchdowns touchdowns. With what we got, all you gonna get is field goals, field goals, field goals. Where is your redzone threat at wide receiver?
