Dude dislikes living in Cali….really…that's the new rumor?

Yeah not buying that either. This is all he wants...

Agreed. It is a weird one and we don't know the facts yet.

As stated before my hunch is we are not coming close to what he desires and he's taken offense to it. Once we know the actual numbers we can then pass judgement, but if it's that 25m fgtd, I can't blame him. He literally left it all on the field last season. What more can you ask for?

A trade offer would have to be ridiculous for us to move him.

Allowing the organization room to sign and keep players around him to remain competitive. That's what I'd ask for. WGAS if you are making top dollar as a WR but the team stinks. As a LONG time Niner fan I've been through long spells of this team being mediocre to downright bad. I personally don't want to see that happen again because of bad contracts and the limitations it brings on a team.
Done with him at this point, if he ain't happy and it's not about the money just trade him and try to get a 1st and then some if you can, Kyle Shannahan is the real star on offense so not worried, he can make anyone look good

I think that's just part of the 'he wants to be close to his family' reason that has been floated around.

By reading some of your posts. There is going to be a lot of butt hurt fans when the compensation is drastically less than some of you think he's worth.

I'll be quite butthurt if it doesn't come with two firsts minimum. That's what he's worth.

This is what I've been saying. He's only hurting himself if he wants to go that route. Either we get good trade compensation, he signs an extension, or he loses money and prime years. His choice. But we're not trading him just for the f**k of it because he's throwing a tantrum.

You and me both. Been saying this all day. Deebo has very little, it any, leverage. My position is that we lake him play out his rookie deal, but continue to try to get a deal. The in 2023 franchise him if no deal can be gotten, and tag him again in 2024. In 2025, when he's 29 and we've gotten his best years, we let him walk.

I really like Deebo. But trading him, the most important player on the offence, will be a major setback to this currently SB-ready team. There's no way we get fair trade value for him - NO FUKKING WAY!! If I were Lynch, to run off curious teams, I'd put it out there that we're seeking two 1st's, two 2nd's, a 3rd, and a starter to begin trade talks. Otherwise don't bother calling.

Deebo has no leverage. The 49ers don't have to do anything, have no reason to trade him. And if Deebo wants to hold out (on a rookie deal where fines will hurt) be my guest. But that's not a winning strategy.

I will say this: if his reason for wanting to be traded is due racial messages and death threats then the local fan-base need to get their sh!t together. Afterall, from what I've read, this isn't due to money. You local fans need to control your racist, period. Because I promise you, had fans here in Chicago done sh!t like that they would have been found, and dealt with, harshly. I find it hard to believe that, in the IT capital of the world, that (or those) fan can't be identified and at the very least held up high for public shaming in front of God and the whole world.

On point

hopefully it it doesn't come down to that and he sign an extension, but if it does, niners have plenty of leverage as you stated.

Hopefully! But the 9ers FO need to exercise the leverage they have. He can't be traded. It's not the best for this team.

That's ridiculous. We finally draft an all pro WR who can also run the ball like an animal and carried us to the NFC championship.

Should Bosa take a lesser offer as well? This is their first contract after rookie deals which is normally the biggest they will see. Also it may be the ONLY contract they get before it's over.

Also, they ARE all pros at their positions and leaders of the team. They should be taken care of.

Also, I am saying this assuming Deebo is asking for market money. Say 25m. That's not greedy imo. Now if we find it he's asking for 30m etc then that's different, but deebo never struck me as that type. Which is why my hunch is we are nickel and dime'ing him.

pretty much my feeling.

If there's one thing that this staff has done it has been to keep a good tight locker room and, for the most part, the team free of off-field issues. Not saying that Deebo is a locker room cancer cause that's not the case, but this issue could create quite the distraction and more if it's not handled correctly. The team and the player need to be mutually happy and if he is not, then lets do what is best (as possible) for both of us. This will also show other players that we're not going to hold them captive and use our leverage against them just because we can.

I do recommend signing Aiyuk to an extension right now though because we're going to be in the same boat this time next year if not because he is going to ball out this year. As long as Kyle is running the show, a lot of players are going to be in position to look good and earn these paydays

We have 2 years to decided on BA chill
Evidently, Deebo ain't thinking about being a part of a championship team. He's leaving that up to the Niners to figure out. He and/or his agent want top dollar. $30million? No. And there is no other team that is going to give him that for the reasons that others on this forum have stated. Deebo plays football like Allen Iverson played basketball. Wreckless, but successful. His longevity in the league, because of the physicality with which he plays, is questionable. Personally, I feel like $20mil (which he has never seen before) is enough starting out. Then, take care of your body, a la TB12, and go from there 😎

"it's not about the money" = it's about the money
I wish they'd sign Bosa to a huge contract and rub his nose in it.
This has been one interesting off season. I guess now the draft next Thursday is must watch tv. Anything can happen on Fantasy Island.
