But but but he is missing a LEO. That's why the defense is so bad.

If he isnt fired by tomorrow, its a lack of leadership. Time for this coach and FO to step up and keep it real.

Going to go ahead and update this before seeing where things go in 2019. If we don't have a strong defense, the screams for Saleh to be gone are going to be louder than ever before. Here's a quick snap-shot of how things finished statistically in 2018.
2018, by the Numbers:
Total Yards - 13th
Passing Yards - 11th
Rushing Yards - 14th
Points/Game - 28th
Yards/play - 8th (tied)
Pass yds/play - 12th
Rush yds/play - 7th (tied)
3rd down defense - 21st
Penalties - 19th
Turnovers - 32nd
Sacks - 22nd (tied)
QB Rating Against - 31st
2019 Defensive Additions:
DE Kentavius Street (missed 2018 with ACL injury)
DE Nick Bosa
DE Dee Ford
DE Damontre Moore
OLB Kwon Alexander
OLB Dre Greenlaw
CB Tim Harris
CB Jason Verrett
Key Player Developments to Track in 2019:
FS Adrian Colbert
SS Marcell Harris
DT Solomon Thomas
DT Jullian Taylor
NT D.J. Jones
CB Ahkello Witherspoon
CB Tarvarius Moore
CB DJ Reed
MLB Fred Warner
WLB Elijah Lee
SLB Pita Taumoepenu
Adding pass rushers alone should impact the rankings for sacks, turnovers, 3rd down defense, and QB rating against.

My god. That's why we need some sacks and qb hits instead of over hyping up some pressures. We need to create some turnovers. Some scoop and scores. A big hit that causes a bad pass. I can't even remember the last time we had a big hit forced a fumble and ran it in. You would think wiht AA and Buck we would've had a lot of batted/tipped passes. Pass rush will definitely help us get off the field on 3rd downs.

Pita Tamupenu for the WIN!
2019 will be very interesting defensively. I really am looking forward to the improved pass rush working in conjunction with a healthy Jimmy.

If the offense is fully healthy then the defense can be just average and I think we can compete for the playoffs. But I want this defense to sneak into the top 10.
