Yes, I am upset, because this team still manages to let me down even with low expectations. You thought this receiving group would be a bright spot coming into this season. Now it turns out it really isn't all that good.

The national media that was talking trash about how bad our receiving corps was like Cris Carter and those talking heads? Well guess what, they were probably right. Now we are in desperation mode for a washed up receiver like Josh Gordon who is one ding away from being banned from the league.
Chiefs fan here. Not here to talk smack. Just football. I didn't get the NFL Sunday Ticket this year so I haven't seen the 49ers this year. Just the highlights. I know the 49ers fans are thinking ball control and keep Mahomes and the offense on the sidelines for the game. That's a great game plan. However, the Chiefs are 29th in ToP/G and still lead the league in scoring (80). I like the 9ers. Just not this Sunday. After this Sunday, good luck to the 9ers for the rest of the season!

IMO, my strategy for this game:

- a ball control rushing game on offense. Alternate Breida and Morris, and eat up a lot of clock so it keeps KC's offense on the sideline. Absolutely need to win Time of Possession and convert 3rd downs in order to win this game. I think Pierre Garçon is going to be key to extending drives and eating up clock. Run an occasional play action to take your shots down the field.

- a physical defensive strategy where you get a lot of hits on Mahomes so he is on his back all afternoon. Also need to jam Hill and disrupt his routes from the line of scrimmage. Blow him up any chance you get. Reuben Foster is going to help in that regard.

Thank you! Is the 9ers D as bad as the Chiefs? The Chiefs Secondary is terrible. I was hoping to get Berry back for the game, but looks like he's questionable. I would say the Chiefs have a good run D but the Chargers and Steelers didn't need to run when the can score through the air. Never mind. Just answered my own question. Chiefs 32nd - 49ers 23rd based on yards per game. Just do us (Chiefs) a favor, take care of rest of the AFC West and the Chiefs will try to take care of the Seahawks, Rams and Cardinals.
Last 3 SF @ KC matchup:

09/26/10 10-31
10/01/06 0-41
11/30/97 9-44

Conclusion: If we lost in a blow out, it is not the end of the world, even Steve Young's 97 Niners lost big.

We do know KC is a very goodnight team and Maholmes is unstoppable at the moment.

Maybe worse
Offense needs to score on the first 3 long drives. Defense needs to keep Mahomes and their offense in check throughout those first 3 drives. Take the crowd out early and then keep that foot on the gas pedal for the rest of the game. We take out the crowd early and get the momentum going and keep it, we can come out with the "W" this Sunday

Lehhss Fahkn Gooo Niners!!
77-70 Niners. Every drive ends in a touchdown, we happen to get 11 drives.

They might want to put both team's punters on the inactive list for the game

31-23
Chiefs
I think our defense will be on another level with Foster and Warner. The Chiefs offense might hit a wall and have to slug it out.
10-3 Chiefs. The NFL is funny like that.

I felt that the 49ers were .500 team coming into the season because I do not believe that the roster is very good generally speaking compared to the other contenders. However, there is a fine line between 7-9 and 9-7/10-6. Part of that is winning the games that you are supposed win and the other part is beating a team/stealing a game you have no business winning. The Chiefs and Chargers next week qualify for the latter.

True. This is going how you'd expect.

Vikings - L
Lions - W
Chiefs - L
Chargers - W/L (L if Rivers gets hot)
Cardinals - W
Packers - L
Rams - L
Cardinals - W
Raiders - W
Giants - W
Bucs - W/L (L if FitzMagic gets hot)
Hawks - W/L (pick 'em)
Broncos - W
Hawks - W/L (pick 'em)
Bears - L (will have 40+ sacks coming in)
Rams - W (playing 2nd string)

7-11 wins with 4 key swing games.
