It's not KNBR. It's Cumulus, the corporate ownership that made the decision. KNBR and Greg Papa still have a contract to do the Niner games. This is just the daily show on KNBR. I don't know if he will be able to return to the booth this season or not but his contract runs through 2030 so maybe he takes season off while he recovers. His illness makes him susceptable to any type of germs so being around large grouos is an issue until the bone marrow graft takes full effect.

I'm not sure that the Niners organization had anything to do with this. But, this is Cumulus' business. And, unfortunately, they can do almost whatever they want. Just like the trump administration firing those Black and female military personnel. And, that's just the way it is.

True enough. ... You make a great point which could easily be expanded upon, but that is not going to go over well in in Niner Talk ... Cumulus is a corporation and corporations are anti-democratic institutions with extraordinary power over the democratic institutions of our government.

Something tells me Greg Papa will still have the health insurance to cover his medical costs. ... Praying for his recovery.

the problem is all the folks on the way to work on tik tok which is a great way to get into an accident drifting into the other lanes, should have set the dial to knbr and we'd still have papa and Tom T, silver and the rest, what are ya'll listening to if not knbr? when it's on ads i flip to 95.7 the game but that's generally not as good

I've been really sick before, not on his level, but 6+ month long stays in the hospital - medical insurance doesn't cover everything in most situations. A lot of times it gets to a point where you have to pay 20% of everything and also cover specialists, certain tests etc. everyone's medical deal is different but odds are he's stacking bills fast.

im surprised niner fans haven't raised a go fund me. It's a rough time in the economy but I bet we could raise some money for the guy.

Strangely enough, knbr re-hired Papa's old partner John Lund. They were always great together and it's underlines how much the whole situation with Papa really blows
