Nailed it. Super high Wonderlic too so who knows, maybe he picks up it quickly but it's not ideal to start. No issues switching he and M.Smith either to start the season. I wouldn't be surprised to see Saleh go with the two veterans in Toomer and M.Smith either.

Dafuq you guys want Coyle to start? Dude was a 3rd string MIKE who had to come off special teams duties to start for us d/t all the injuries we had. If Coyle ever starts again, bad things happened.

Pettis was a huge reach with better wrs on the board, it's very possible Street never plays a significant role for the 49ers.

I don't want him to. But I don't want a rookie who's never played the position starting while he learns on the job. If given the choice take the vet who knows where to be whether that's Coyle or Toomer. Hopefully Foster only gets 4 games. More than that and D is in trouble.

One thing I LOVE is they draft players and actually play the rookies. Last year the niners rookies took lots of snaps.

Trent Brown was not going to get paid 10-15 million a year by this regimen, so they drafted his replacement and sent a message to other players, show up in shape.

Pettis, is a precise route runner, he will play outside and inside and return punts, he will be awesome, trust me.

He drafted players as insurance for Arik Armstead and Reuben Foster, this was necessary.

No edge, yeah I get it, I thought they should have gone RB, and DE a few times, but that is me.

We were void of talent last year. We won't see the same snap counts for rookies this year. Chances are only 2 have full time jobs from this class.

It would be interesting to unearth the posts on the WZ after Baalke's 2012 draft to see if the levels of homerism and mindless praise displayed back then ('in Baalke we trust', remember?) are comparable to those of Shannahan/Lynch fanboys now.

Totally agree.....don't know why people can't just wait a little while to see how things shake out.
