"The NFL has until October 9 (a week from today) to decide whether or not to flex the 49ers Week 7 game against the Rams. The Bears-Patriots game is an option for flexing into SNF, while Bengals-Chiefs and Saints-Ravens could also depending on how those teams perform this weekend."
I think the NFL will want to keep the rams in the prime time game. Yeah the Niners are less sexy without Jimmy G, but the rams are soaring and are one of the 2 premier offenses in the game right now.
We might luck out based on last year's TNF game.
At a certain point, respect should be shown the SF 49ers.......the Dallas Cowboys in an identical situation to the Niners right now would never get flexed out.
Also, the 2015 matchup against the Giants on SNF when the team was reeling off a few stinkers by Kap to open the season.......could have swore that would get flexed out but wasn't.
Guess you can't flex out the game if the Giants are in it.
Turns out that it was a good idea not to flex as close as that game was.
