Yeah, I'm up to C+ right now and like another poster stated, it has potential to be much higher if all players are healthy and play at their capabilities and at a high level.

I know it's not popular but I feel Lynch has opened himself up to feel some scrutiny. With signing alot of injured players if they don't work out, ouch. And on the flip side IF they do he will get a pat on the back. It's a gamble which I am not sure he had to take at this point of the rebuild. But I do like the potential.

I agree.

What I like about Lynch so far, is he doesn't seem to hear scrutiny, or fear making mistakes.
Look at the Kapri Bibbs deal, a total flop, he moved on.

He is willing to sign players his coach really feels strongly about reguardless of cost.

He works every Tuesday during the season trying out available free agents, always looking to improve

Cuts free agents he just signed, Hightower and others last season

He doesn't even seem to hear all the noise from complainers, he is breaking eggs and making omelettes!

He is the defensive back of GMs, "that play is over make the next play count" seems to be his philosophy.

He is the anti-Baaaaalkie!

this would have been a solid B had we signed Watson to be the ONE receiver we need..

Instead, we will be praying upon a star to land one and get luck that he could be THAT receiver we badly need.

If they turn out well. then he gets credit. if not.he deserves to come under fire in my opinion. its like foster and joe williams. if you give him credit for drafting a kid like taylor and kittle and they turn out well. they you deserve fire when things go south.i know some may disagree but oh well. its like last year. it seemed it was the players fault when we lost close games but when we started to win games it was because of kyle. you can not have it both ways

oh,, and i think it is ok if we are critical of stuff lynch does that does not turn out well. without having to be called non fans or asking us if we want trent back

Getting "Watson" should have been...elementary.

C-, failed to sign any WR help or Guard help. JG still doesn't have a decent red zone threat. The guys we did sign we either overpaid or are injured and may never actually play a down for us. Richburg is the only player we signed that is likely to contribute anything significant. BAD!

C+

but FA aint over yet. it can turn into a B/B+. if we get Pugh and maybe Pryor, i'll give it a solid B. if we somehow trade or happen to land Chubb in the draft, A.
How do you grade an off season before any of the players have gotten to play? Are you judging based on how their uniform fits? Did they pick a good number? Which toilet they shat in?

So you're saying we should wait for the season to start before grading the off season even though once the season starts nobody cares about the off season?

No change, still b-. Why could we not keep kilgore for depth? Know he's butthurt, but I think a little more elbow grease and we could have kept. Not cutting ward and/or turning his contract into another fa burns me.
D-

Not good at all.

Likewise. Realistically, we just got one for sure player and that is the JET...and damn if he isn't named perfectly. Now have seen a ton of his tape, and wow can that guy ever fly. The gripe is that he isn't a goal line bet. Ok, we got au Jus for that, and if it is a play that goes wide, JET is fine. Damn the guy seems to leave vapor trails where ever he went. I was so so on him and now am stoked. In close to EZ, mmmm....we'll see what Kyle does. 3rd and 3 is more what i am interested in. If he can be used there, FA has been great. But...we'll see.

Other two are crap table bets. If Okachobeerorakiazer,or however you spell it, hits, wow, helluva move. I am ignorant what his exact physical status is now. I asssume it must be ok or JL wouldn't have made this $2.5. Mil bet. On RS, how about ditto. This is really a roll of the dice with an all pro player, now living in a different world, ie, post op Achilles repair. Also was it a thru and thru and what about the other achillles where "Some things were taken out.". Seen a lot of Achilles ruptures, and unless thru and thru, 100%ers, no two are alike. Jagged tear, was a bunch of muscle destroyed for months before it was totallly ruptured, was rupture nice and clean or does it run deep into one end of tear in places and barely ruptured in others. And that's his good one.
So $39 mil gamble for $3mil....is it worth it? If so, the Jedi will have to buy JL a brand new Maserati to give thanks. IF if is a physical bust deal, then ok we lost $3mil on a $39 mil bet. But if we have to pay RS all $39 mil, i would be happiest guy on the planet, meaning he got back to darn near pre injury tear. CB is not a place where you can use a guy who is gimped up. So little (10% bet) ventured when we are flush with cash. For a team up against the wall cap wise, they couldn't have done this.

On the latter two, no grade. My only grade is on the JET and that 's a strong B+. The thing that bothers me re: RS deal is we still need a CB, so must get one plus a project late , which is what i had hoped we could have accomplished. With Attaachou, same deal. We still need an EDGE. Hoped we could have gotten that done in FA also, but admittedly not much to choose from. The good ones got locked up in tag or signed to big numbers.

So when draft starts we need 2 OG starters, CB starter, and EDGE starter. OGs we should do well on, due to number, and CB we need early, same for EDGE and after that, no more Edges of import. So a project, unfortunatley . CB we should score on. RB will be interesting. Here is where Kyle takes a rd 4 or 5 guy and turns him into gold. EDGE unless we get spooky lucky, is probably job for 2019 draft. Or, we could slop out lucky and get one. Maybe Attachou turns out great. MAYBE. But the JET gets a B or B+ . I really like him.
