Also am extremely intrigued in seeing CJ play in preseason. I have a feeling he will be lighting it up in preseason, build up his stock and teams will be inquiring for him next offseason. Dude was just below solid for a rookie in the most complicated system. Dude has poise.

Yeah when jimmy g starts lighting it up people will forget that we didn't get these splashy receivers in free agency.

RB Jerick McKinnon - we couldn't secure Allen Robinson so Kyle added the next best thing; a receiving RB that offers big mismatches
MIKE Brock Coyle - great depth signing

Overall, ShanaLynch have done a nice job of locking up key depth and special teams and targeting three positions of big need in CB, C and RB.

So far, they have been unable to trade for an ER, add CB depth/insurance, lock down a LB and we have two massive holes at G. Also, Ward's $8.5M is a colossal waste of big cap space.

I like your analysis. Great depth and used our money that we would've probably used for robinson with a back that is young and has a lot of potential with this offseason. But I felt like we couldve done more. We still could, but its clear that lynch and co are focusing on finding our stars in the draft.

3 excellent scheme fits and I don't think we're done yet. Significant deficits remain at LEO, OG, LB, CB, and RB.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I feel pretty good about our WR corps. I bet we add one of the numerous 6'3"+ receivers or TEs available in the draft and call it good.

Grades are meaningless at this stage...but based on the players signed I'd say Lynch has done a very good job so far. Sherman's got to get healthy, but he's uber-motivated to do so and show the 'Hawks they screwed up, big-time. When healthy, there's not a better CB in the league. Richburg's among the top 5 C in the league from what I've read. He's exactly the kind of athletic OL Shanahan wants. They're one top OG from having a totally upgraded interior OL...which assumes Garnett will earn one of the OG positions. Coyle's a smart re-sign...he played pretty well last season, especially in the 2nd half. He provides some insurance given Foster's likely to land a suspension from the league. As for McKinnon, you know Shanahan's got to be pretty stoked to get this guy...he's called "the jet" for good reason, he can really scoot. He gives Coach a ton of options to create mismatches all over the field. So, I'd say this is an impressive group.

Thought the Pro Bowl was just a popularity contest when Sherman signed his contract, but now it suddenly means something?

One of the most interesting offseason FA period in a long time ...like in 20 years. I can't remember one equally exciting other than the 93-94 season.
