I like Wilson but I'm excited to see what Hasty can do. Hopefully Hasty comes back 100%.

We will stash him on IR until he's ready. Mostert,Sermon,Mitchell,Gallman, and Hasty will hold it down. It's a deep group.

If it happened a month ago, that would certainly explain why they drafted RB so high this year.

I'm actually surprised that he will be out for so long, with a torn meniscus. I have had arthroscopy on both knees for torn meniscus and rehab was nothing. Of course I'm not a NFL running back.

if it happens this way. wilson can not play for six weeks. mostert gets hurt and no hasty.... we have a bunch of unknowns. we are a run first team no matter the qb. we just can not go through another year where our running backs all get hurt

Agreed Hasty makes too many cuts for my liking. Give me one cut and get downfield not 15.

Wilson tore his meniscus when he got up from a chair in the locker room? Unreal. Has to be tough for him as it's one thing getting injured on the playing field...

49ers GM John Lynch says Jeff Wilson felt a pop in his knee as he got up from a chair in the locker room last Thursday. That's when he tore his meniscus — at the facility last week. Wilson had surgery the next day, Friday 5/21

Lol. I am pretty sure he was hurt prior to that. But $2M is a big "get in the facilities" motivator.

Yeah, Lynch said he was doing lower-body lifts just before it happened. Tough for Wilson and looking forward to when he returns.

The injury could have started several weeks ago and finally tore all the way, hence the pop. It would have been nice to at least make it thru the 1st workout without an injury.
