We shouldn't be subjected to the media Jed is paying for. The type you get from Tim Ryan who couldn't say enough good things about Tomsula and Gabbert.

Never was a fan of his. They tried to match him up with Tommy T and it didn't work out. Tommy always positive and funny. Ray always grumpy and depressed, tommy would appear to try his best to make it work but wasn't a good mix.

Ratto's opinion that jimmy G didn't "earn' a $137 contract is the same as someone asserting Uber did nothing to "earn" a 5 Billion dollar market capitalization, or whatever it was. They're an office with a staff of 20 who make car rides available.
Some find these market driven things way off base.
But that's the world we live in.

Ratto admits he's never been a fan of a team and just enjoys the sports, he's said it numerous times on NBCS and KNBR. I think his pessimism can't get annoying but at the same time when he talks you can see he's not biased. That being said I've noticed writers who give up fandom or are not fans of a team(like Ratto) seem to be the most miserable piece writers in general, I know it sucked for Maiocco to give up his Niner fandom but he's still enjoyable to read at least or even listen to on KNBR

Do not like at all. Won't listen to him, and won't read his garbage. Couldn't believe KNBR had him on so long, must have got him for cheap. Always sounds like he didn't do his homework and just BSs through a story. I seriously doubt anyone under 65 likes him

Having an opposing opinion around is healthy for everybody but his reasoning usually sounds like he pulled it out of his ass with the attempt to sound clever and funny.
