Nickerson and Norton both got hired as position coaches only to later be offered DC positions. Vrabel we never lost as he was never with us, and chose to stay in Houston where it appeared he had a wink wink nod nod agreement in place to take over for Romeo.

Dude left to be a DC.
It is a totally different situation and is in no way "stuff like that".
Vrabel turned down a DC job with SF for a lower position, it is the opposite of what happened with Norton, LOL.

Actually he turned our offer for an immediate promotion down to remain in the same position in Houston for a year. Willing to bet he was promised a promotion after the 2016 season in order to stay.
Do we hire a ILB's coach now or we do move Johnny Holland back to ILB's coach? Also, is Tarver still on the staff?

Really sucks losing Norton so quick, ugh.

i just think people are very slow around here to hold lynch and shanny accountable for things when they go wrong. that is if anyone on here even thinks they do anything wrong in the first place. i am glad they got jimmy and maybe they will indeed turn things around but i for one. just will not give them a free pass on everything they do and make lynchshanny excuses for any thing. big or little when it goes south. like williams the rookie running back who all of a sudden came up with some mysterious ankle thing that has never been explained.

So we should shake our fingers angrily at them for allowing a position coach to take an opportunity at a promotion ? I think I saw JG sneeze on the sidelines in that Rams game, should I hold them accountable for that too, I mean they probably have the AC turned up to high and got Jimmy sick.
This is really a bad move by Seattle... The coaches they're bringing in are not an upgrade to what they already had, if anything it's two steps backward. The season went south for the Seahawks when a bunch of starters were put on IR, not because of the coaching. These coaching changes are more for saving face with the front office and fans then upgrading their coaching staff. It all smells of desperation to me, and I'm loving it!.

Cc every thing is great now we are coming off a 6-10 season and our best defensive player got arrested but it was only for weed.
No one wants to come here.

Rumor has it that he was advised (like other defensive coaches) not to take a coordinator position under Chip Kelly. The results are out there in terms of defensive snaps, TOP, yards, points, etc.
