14!!! shoot I'd love to see them just sit 3, Aaron Donald, Todd Gurley and Jared Goff.

Does anyone know if New England or other top teams have sat starters when going to playoffs?
Is that a good thing to do?
Pros/cons?

Teams have certainly done it, with mixed success. If you have banged up starters and no chance to improve your playoff position it makes sense to get them healthy for the playoffs. But... It has also backfired in some cases over the years.

It's all brilliant gamesmanship by Shanny's old pal McVay. It's a win-win for the LAms. If they LOSE "well.... they just beat our back ups when we weren't even trying". But if they WIN "OH Frisco couldn't even beat our back ups" The only way we can take this away from them is if they play they starters for the 1st qrtr and we BEAT THE HELL OUT OF 'EM!

Am I the only one who would rather see how we match up vs a full Rams squad?

Yes.

The vicissitudes of the NFL ensure there is never a wholly fair fight. Do you enjoy a "good game", meaning a close game, or do you prefer to see "your team" blow out the other team?

I say let's make as big a statement that we can going into the offseason season. The results will be tangible.

Man how big would this game be if we were in contention. Would've ignited a newfound rivalry for the next decade.

The danger is that you get stale and lose your edge. It seems to me the league is getting away from sitting them altogether if healthy, but will sometimes sit them in the second half after they've kept their hand in it during the first half. Seems the better teams have more courage to play people, and the weaker teams are more timid.
Rams already looking for excuses come Monday after we make them look like Jacksonville

They know it's not going to be a good look for them rolling into the playoffs after getting blown out by the Niners. Hell, if not for a terrible OPI call, they would have already lost.

Yeah but it won't look good for them if they get blown out anyway. It could slow their momentum.

Beat them by 40 if they rest.

Beat them by 40 of they don't!

That's true. Either way, time for us to send a message going into next season. We need to remind everyone who runs the West!
We're 2.5 favorites now, lol.

Funny how one statement by a HC to a secondary media source can change the spread so much.
Schefter just said "I would think we don't see Gurley, we don't see Whitworth, we don't see Goff."

Take that for what it's worth.
Our superbowl lol

I'm taking from that that they don't dress.
