Is going from Derek Carr to Jimmy an upgrade?

For me yes. Carr is probably the more talented player but sometimes he tends to be captain checkdown isn´t it? Jimmy is the opposite. He´s more limited physically but sometimes he will try to do too much. I think McDaniels and Jimmy could be a lethal combo specially with Adams, Renfrow and Waller on the team. I always felt that Jimmy fit better New England´s offense with his skillset.

An excellent backup to Jarrett Stidham.

That actually looks like it would be a legit competition. Jimmy back to a spread offense. Stidham found success within it too and is well versed. That'd be fun to watch play out.

Yea it's more of a lateral move. The only connection I see is maybe McDaniels thinks he can team up with his old pupil Jimmy and get something out of him. But oh boy, what a waste of a talent Adams would he at WR just being used for 5 yard slants and curl routes…

Yes it is. Jimmy isn't broken in the same way Carr is mentally. He would absolutely thrive in the modified Erhardt-Perkins offense that McDaniel taught him in NE with the weapons they have.

Carr needs a fresh start, he was in an NFL upward trajectory back when he was with Jack Del Rio making the probowl and tossing 30+ TD's a season but has never been that same player since he was fired, and to be honest I think Gruden broke him mentally and he's never been the same since.

Muting someone doesn't expell them from existence. I can still see everytime he posts. And the page I did he posted tons. Not sure this is the gotcha moment you think it was.

He had a pretty decent season last year, so I don't know that you can say Gruden broke him.

Thrive is a bit of a stretch lol. You guys acting like Jimmy was playing on some junk squad and a poor offensive scheme smh.

exactly in my opinion he's a downgrade, but familiarity goes a long way. Same can be said if he went to HOU or the Jets...

Exactly, Jimmy never takes deep shots.
