Jimmy played a lot better than M.Ryan who most in here consider better than Jimmy against a vaunted Eagles front 7. It wasn't pretty but it was good enough to get the dub. End of day that's all that should matter to us fans. Let the coaches and players worry about how they prepare and perform against NFCW opponents and the rest of the league.

No! Need to get the stats! Fantasy! Madden!
Glad we have Jimmy to allow Trey to grow into the NFL and not put all the lofty expectations on him out of the gates. See what's happening to Lawrence, Wilson, Burrow. Trey has less experience than them.

Jimmy got his composure and led his team to victory. Locker room is behind him, we should be too.

You have absolutely no idea if Lance loses that game. None, so stop with the subjective crap.

What are all these clutch 3rd downs from yesterday? He got a couple QB sneaks. How many 3 in outs did we have? SF got bailed out with some second half unnecessary roughing calls. He avg like 3.4 yards per pass.

like I said he had two great drives and gets credit for that, there was a bunch of yuck in between that and people should be able to point that out. He played much better last week imo.

so do you think Jimmy would have played better as the ATL QB or Ryan as the 49ers' QB? Because comparing QBs on different teams is pretty pointless imo.

FWIW I didn't want anything to do with Ryan at this point in his career (you can go find that if you want).

I said the W is what matters, I also said that play isn't gonna cut it vs better teams. Lol telling fans not to act like fans in a fan forum…come on dude.
How dare Jimmy win...

Highly unlikely, especially with his contact.

Come on, Jimmy - play lights out, so we can get in the playoffs and get a good draft pick for you.

I doubt we'll receive anything more than a 3rd for JG, regardless of what his stats look like come end of the season.. Everything coach In the league knows his limitations buy now.

I'll take a 3rd - Lynch's goal will be a 2nd, though.

I say we skip the middle man and ask for a 5th right away. That's our money-making round anyway.

In all seriousness I love Jimmy. I was at the game. He looks better in person. I'm not talking about his football skills either

You've got blinders on. Your bias is showing.

And I do know. Shanahan didn't put him in once. Not once. Why? Shanahan knows Lance is not there.

Yes I agree to a point, I don't think Lance is ready..but those rookies are also getting very important reps/film to help them improve…they're not spending their time as a scout QB.

For me I never said I wasn't behind Jimmy, I'll root for whomever is the QB….people in here should be allowed to say hey he had some pretty avg to below avg play last game outside of two drives. I mean we should be able to say that about any player without people getting all upset. Being critical of your $100M QB isn't hating.

You saying that is funny. Pot meet kettle.

I never said put Lance in, you're the one throwing something out there that you have no idea of what would happen. No one was even talking about Lance. We're talking about Jimmy and his overall play.

TThis is is so dumb. First of all we might be playing the Eagles in the NFC Championship Game. Second of all it's not Jimmy's fault that we had 13 yards rushing in the first half. That's on Kyle who is not prepared for this game and came up with a pretty bizarre rotation in the backfield. I e there was none.

Most importantly not giving Jimmy any credit at all for battling back after a super cold start. I think people completely under appreciate that aspect of the game and how it unfolded. No turnovers for Jimmy. None that's the only way we were going to come out of this game with a w and not receiving any credit for it whatsoever

For all we know when it's said and done Philadelphia will wind up being one of the "better teams" we play.

Probably not but they do have that very good defensive front and they did not just beat but destroy Atlanta. I know the Falcons aren't good.

Because of work and because of where I live, I really don't/haven't seen any games yet. But my understanding is our Pro Bowl center kind of got his butt kicked. Obviously Fletcher Cox is really good. Disruptive pressure up the middle is still going to throw a QB off his game. Particularly a (relatively) nonmobile one like Jimmy. Sure he needs/we want him to play consistently better. It wouldn't be entirely unexpected that he, and the team as a whole, would have a bit more of a problem with Philly than we did Detroit.

How it any different then when someone says AA/McG or any other 49er suck (not saying JG sucked but he was far from great), yet they won?

it's okay to be critical of players, especially your $100M QB. He had a couple great drives, which ultimately got us the W. That's awesome and i give him credit for that….The rest of the game wasn't pretty imo. Gotta play better overall if we want to beat good teams and contend in this division.

I am 100% with you except for the bold. Hurts will fold after a few games and L's. He's not their future.
