NFL evaluators look beyond stats. Yes Mayfield has been generating first round talk but he's just not playing in an offense that translates to the NFL nor does he stick within the offense he's in.

He makes a lot of plays outside the structure of the offense. Like Manziel. He's also on a much better team than UCLA. His mechanics, pocket awareness and feel for a more complex game are nowhere near Rosen's.

Hardly any NFL scouts will have Mayfield above Rosen.

Poor man's Manziel. Less talented, not nearly as big of an idiot. Still an idiot though.
another 49er loss with nil officials making a call , 23 seconds left in game, like Garson was knocked backward by washington #53,how did he do a pick.
going back aways,
Super Bowl vs Baltimore ',Crabtree suffered helmet to helmet contact on 3rd down in the end zone, official 6 feet away, announcers chimed in officials wouldn't make a call
to change the game, so how many times has it happened this year? what about Bowman intercepting a pass against Seattle in championship game, officials didn't see it.
instead of 49ers having possession, Bowman had a next season knee injury, here is a link to that game, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esaaoSrK7_Q
dual 49ers games where officials missed ball spots by 5 yards that were so blatant I took actual photos I was so astonished.
I'm sick of this BS, nba conspired against warriors, fixed , fixed, fixed, is everything fixed, everything????????

Watch he's going to say Pick6 Rosen....
Actually I have no idea who they should pick because I do not watch college football; however, I trust that A pro bowl player turned GM and a HC who has grown up and lived around the sport his entire life, both of whom have watched thousands of more hours of tape and scouting are able to judge talent much better than myself and other forum posters. With that said, drafting a QB 1,2,3 does not guarantee you get an elite talent. Someone said it... Look at the Browns and their attempts at a franchise qb. Ryan Leaf, Russell @ the Raiders, Vince Young is just a short list of QB busts. Sometimes a team gets lucky and finds a diamond when they thought we have some clay to mold and pray they are a good pick (D. Prescott). I think top 10,20,30 picks are always safer/bang for the buck picks at any position other than qb, CB, DE, RB OT etc and even experts in the field make mistakes despite alllll their research, otherwise you would not see a Manziel or a Leaf, Russell, Young go as top 5 picks and turn out to be a wasted pick. That pertains to any position on the team but is magnified at the qb spot because most drafts the teams with the top 123 pick is searching for that FCQB. I just don't think Cousin's is worth going all in on. Even if they use a 1,2,3,4 pick on a top WR or CB or OL and pass this year on a QB next year I'm okay with it. They are in these games this year and Beathard may be a diamond or turn out to be coal but the team has plenty of games left this year to decide what to do at the position in next year's draft.

Whether people wanna accept it or not, Kap's protest narrative screwed Goodell's payday. The only way to stop the bleeding is to humliate, and bury the team from mainstream attention. We're gonna keep losing until Jed finally realizes our team isn't good enough to dodge backdoor business politics

On the other hand., would anyone put it above Goodell to be that much of a petty ass?

The odds of Shanahan drafting Mayfield are pretty low. I could see Seattle drafting him in the second. Maybe the Browns in the first if they end up with a late first and miss out on other QB's.

Anyhow, if you think Mayfield is better than Rosen IMO you're 100% basing that on stats. You've made that painfully obvious by focusing on Rosens ints. Then when that failed you switched to his teams record.

I'm sorry jcs but I don't think you know how to evaluate QB's. I don't have the energy to continue this conversation right now. I have things to do.
Coming from you I'll take that as a compliment....keep riding that Rosen train until it falls off the tracks....
Losing teams don't get the calls. Never have. Winning teams get the calls. Always have. Refs are human. They believe losing teams make more mistakes, so they make biased decisions.
Whoever has a problem with kneeling should look at their own background and realise they may not understand fully what is transpiring

We've been getting screwed long before the protest. Remember getting fined a draft pick because of "tampering" when we talked to Lance Briggs, yet nothing happened when the Cowboys (or whoever) were talking to Michael Crabtree? Heck Bill Walsh said it best. The refs will screw you and you have to overcome it. This has nothing to do with Kap.

It's sad to say but I wouldn't be surprised

Lol, he's always lurking from the shadows of Foxburro's arches. A hand goes down white pants... A yellow flag appears, and somebody's got Springsteen tickets.

More likely he wants Darnold/Rosen in a high profile city over cleveland. However, totally unrelated. Excited about the great games and high draft pick.

LOL: "49ers defense is generating no pressure on Cousins, as if they've been instructed not to hit him. You know, like it'll be next year in camp."
