I'm of the opinion something is actually happening to improve the Niners. They could go 0-16 and I'd still believe that.
But that's just my 2 cents.

This is one of a few smart men on the zone

I guess if you are looking at it as glass half full, this is the first time a 49ers qb has thrown for over 300 yards in consecutive games since 2000. Not sure if that is a positive or a stat that shows we have become Browns fans over 17 years, gluttons for high draft picks and hope, year after year.

The Browns went to 3 conference championships and a super bowl? News to me

Thank you for making my point. When Jed FINALLY has a good coach, 2011–2014: Jim Harbaugh era, he went to the NFC Championships and the SB. Would a winner owner get in an ego match with his winning head coach. Jed York did. Harbaugh went to Michigan, has turned around that program and has publicly stated how bad and how dysfunctional life is under Jed York. This is ALL documented, Harbaugh is not a York fan. What has the 49ers done since that, York is reeeping his rewards in 3 heac coaches salaries. Dysfunction at its best. If people cannot see that they are in denial.

When Eddie got mixed up in that Casino crap and the Stadium/Mall fell through and he ultimately handed over the team to Denise, seems like a lifetime ago. Never imagined it would have turned into almost 2 decades of heartbreak and disappointment. You new generation of fans can't really understand just how far this great franchise has fallen. Fans used to argue over how many points we would win by and who would win more Superbowls between Joe and Steve. I mean for pete's sake, we used to route teams by halftime and pull Montana just to have Steve Young come in and keep running up the score without even trying. Now the only argument is about who we will take with a top 5 pick. We owned our Division for almost 17 straight years and now we rank as one of the top bottom dwellers. It really is sad to think where we could be today if Eddie was still running this franchise.

So true, the 9ers had so many wins. They would interview the players after a game, and they would be humble and not even be happy when they clinched a playoff birth, they wanted to win the nfc west and secure homefield and a first round bye. 1/2 the games were like pre season games, the team would run up the score and put in the back up qb. One game I remember Montana coming in and dominating, put in steve young, same thing, put in Steve bono the last quarter and he threw for a TD. It was a machine. They had Dr Harry Edwards on staff to help with any transition issues with players. The coaching tree from Walsh/Seifert was awesome.

Most importantly qb's got their stats and numbers in the first half and critical 3rd downs. The second half was running and winding down the clock. Now our stats get skewed because the Niners get behind, so teams give the qb's the dink and dunk underneath, keep the players in bounds and let the clock run. It pads the qb stats but the other team gets the win. So so sad.
Your logic is flawed OP. York isn't meddling in the football side and you better be happy or we'd be losing 0-83 each game. What you see on the field is what Lynch and Shanny have put together in their FIRST YEAR.

Are you mad that the 49ers didn't draft a franchise QB, #1 WR, All Pro Edge rusher, Pro Bowl guards, Pro Bowl centers, Lock down corners in their first year? That's not on York.

Are you mad the sun is in your eyes at the stadium? Your commute to the stadium took a long time? Food prices too much? That's on York.

I know most will laugh or disagree with what I type, but I don't think he ever has. He has just made by hires/decisions which is why the product on the field has been Cleveland-esque with the exception of a 4 year stretch and a 2 year stretch when dad was primary decision maker.

Jed York is raking in the money for 2017 by not spending on players, reaping TV revenue, and ticket revenue while producing an expansion team. One of the few perenial pro bowlers is a tad bit slow, cut him now, save money to make a bigger profit. Whatever happened to having building blocks. This team has been in continuous re building mode since Jed took over.

When are fans going to realize it is about the profits, concerts at levis stadium and 49ers franchise value??

1. When the team signed Hoyer to be the qb, then did not draft a qb until round 3, is that a hint?
2. When the team signed a FB to a record breaking deal??
3. When the team could have signed Alex Mack to C and Mitchell Schwartz to guard, instead they bring in second tier WR's??

I am just venting, but when a team has cap space, and chooses not to use it, they are not trying to be competitive.

the f**k are you talking about? we had this much cap space the past 2 seasons and did NOTHING with it under Baalke. Did you miss this past offseason? or just fail to compare it to the previous 2?
They will be forced to spend money next year to reach the salary cap floor, as regulated by the rules.

Whether or not it goes further than that is another matter.

You sure about that ?
Not sure why money is even being brought up at this point.

They just released Bowman and ate a few million when 90% of other owners would have traded his butt. I would have told Lynch that he needed to trade Bowman.

The 49er product has been bad because of the hires he has made and not because of the lack of money he has spent.
The 49ers rank dead last in spending on active players and it shows. There is money being pocketed that could have been spent on players.

Link that the money gets pocketed
This logic doesn't make sense to me and I truly doubt and hope Jed and ownership think like this. All the theories out there don't deter from the fact that winning and winning big makes the most money. When you win you get more sponsorships, more media attention, "faces of the franchise" to market, jersey sales, extra games to sell tickets, etc. Just look at the most profitable teams in the world like ManU and Barcelona... winning and superstars bring in freakish amounts of money.

Link that the money has been spent.
If it is not spent, it stays in the York's pocket.
