This is the first year of a complete new regime, new HC, new GM, total rebuild, 37 new players on the roster and already we saw a far better defensive effort than what we saw from this team last season. They've definitely gotten better in some areas, still have many more to improve in which is going to take time but getting down on these guys after one game is absolutely asinine.

Interesting but we also lost by a larger margin this year too....
We played better and shot outselves in the foot from the coaching booths a few times.

Please dont bring kap into the discussion. That dude blew up our franchise. Cannot play pro ball qb. Didnt grow. Harbs will never coach pro ball again because of kap fiasco.

We will move forward. Shanny will relax, trust his system. The pieces will fall in place.

See I'm not going on and on about Kaep but I think if Harbaugh was still the coach he might still be the QB and doing well, Harbaugh played to his strengths and gave him so much confidence he thought he was superman, which goes a long way but let's drop the Kaep bs, York and Baalke ruined this franchise..I hope your 100% correct about the last couple things you said..

Bustin out the stats i likey. Many want instant winning, guess some got spoiled by harbaughs quick winning.

Kap never did well. He seemed to do well at first but once the league got tape he was done done done. Lets not go on about the worst qb mistake we ever made being coached by a terrible OC that harbs wouldnt move. Shannyt needs to chill, let the system coach up our scrub talent. 8 wins is the ceiling this year. and that is fine.

LOL at people wanting to throw Beathard in there with that O-line. How did that work out with 1st rounder Alex Smith? He would get beat down hard (Oh how I crack myself up!). Kap? Once they figured him out, he was done.

Lol 8 wins I'm cool with, it will feel like they win the super bowl..
Well, Lynch whiffed on Soloman Thomas. That dude sucks. However, Baalke was brain dead beyond belief. That man had some serious issues.

and last year, the 49ers were coming off 6 days rest AND traveling to the east coast. This team has improved, but now, this team is a 3 win team.
Yet another lovely POS post. What's the difference between your left & right hand? None, you don't have a clue..
so wow the previous poster said I have no clue .hmm if Kyle is a qb coach so what is the problem with him trying to work with him ...I don't get how a person who knows his system plays like trash but stills gets a pass
Putting last year's stats out there mean nothing. It was a road game, Cam Newton was 100% healthy, and we were coming off 6 days rest after a MNF traveling to the East Coast for an early 10 AM game. Come on son.

We could have easily been blown out by 40+. The run D has had marginal improvement. That's all you can really say.

In 7 years Baalke took an under coached roster full of future superstars and steadily reduced it to possibly the worst roster in all of football year over year. In one offseason Lynch has replenished some of that huge erosion of talent in the form of mostly inexpensive scheme fits that will help establish the system for future players, even if they themselves aren't elite, and added a host of rookies and younger raw talents who after one game show varying levels of promise from potential superstar to solid roster player without bankrupting the future. There is your difference.

Beyond that long term success is built in the draft with a judicious and careful use of free agency...if we had just gone out and bought up all the free agents at best we would be good for a year or two and had big cap problems right after and at worst the chemistry would never come together and we would have spent a fortune to continue to suck like the Raiders, Skins and many others had done for years and even decades before they came to their senses. It is cliché to say Rome wasn't built in a day...but some clichés exist for a reason.

Really ok look at the cowgirls last year and that year before that they had the 3rd overall pic.

Bruh they hit on a qb and we haven't. They've invested in there o line before they got Dak. Then they drafted a dynamic rb. Zeke wasn't in this years draft

False. There was better than Zeke in this draft and his name is Leonard fournette . If he would have came out with Zeke he would have went higher than Zeke.

We passed on him for freaking Solomon Thomas
