Remaining Harbaugh draft picks

Harbaugh didn't draft them in my opinion, Baalke did. I think that's the reason this team stank on offense. Baalke the offensive genius 《sarcasm》 was in control of the draft and didn't know what he was doing. If Harbaugh had control of the draft, I think he'd still be the head coach of the 49ers today.

We today know that Baalke and Harbaugh didn't get along because Harbaugh was pushing to get more control of the 53 man roster. He wasn't happy with the people Baalke was bringing in via the draft and FA....post Harbaugh we see how that eventually transpired with Chip and Tomsula.

Harbaugh had his share of moments totally missing on talent. Richard Sherman and Doug Baldwin were on the team he coached and somehow he couldn't identify the talent they had...now they're a huge part of a divisional rival.

He also brought in guys like Jonathan Martin...

Some guys know how to coach, doesn't mean they know how to draft or evaluate talent.

Yup. Evaluating high school talent when you can acquire whoever you want is also easier than being limited by a small number of draft picks and the salary cap.

When Harbaugh comes back to the NFL (and he will) he will have full personnel control with a puppet GM. We will see what he can do then.

I disagree. Harbaugh did have say in the draft. I remember when they picked up LeMichael James and Harbaugh said "He killed us when I was at Stanford so I wanted him on my team"

He might not have had control of the entire roster but he did have some say in it. I don't think Baalke truly had control until Harbs was shown the door.

He wanted to keep Delanie, get Maricec, and had a lot of public disputes with Baalke regarding players Baalke let go, so I don't agree that he couldn't evaluate talent. Clearly he wanted a different offense than what Jed/Baalke wanted. Harbaugh's offense was a run first Bo Shembechler power run and combo read option WCO whereas I think Jed/Baalke wanted a pass first WCO. Harbaughs weakness isn't talent evaluation, it was interpersonal skills.

Baalke just didn't understand the kinds of players that would work in the Harbaugh offense in my opinion. That why he continually misfired on the drafts during the Harbaugh era. Contrast that with ShanaLynch and how they have a shared vision for the offense and defense. Remember Baalke wanted Harbaugh to replace Greg Roman and Harbaugh refused. When the GM does not like your offense but is thw one drafting for you, trouble is just around the corner.

Harbaugh talked about LaMichael James like it was his pick back then. That's the one I could attribute to Harbaugh. The rest could very well be either Baalke or Harbaugh.

Oh forgot about Kaep. That's on Harbaugh.
