I don't know if we beat the Panthers or not, because we will make too many mistakes with our youth, but I expect to see some really good flashes too. Also, 6 and 10 last year, and Newton still with a questionable arm, isn't too scary.

Well I mean if I told you we lost 6 games by 3 points or less, and had a lead in 6 of those losses in the 4th quarter (including every game against the AFC West), would that be a bit more eye-opening, especially considering our injuries we had.

Either way, I still expect the 49ers to give us a fight. Shanahan's going to get us working somehow, and your front seven looks good. I don't expect a blowout, but I don't expect our very talented team to lose either.

But this team can still be better than the past two seasons even if they get blown out tomorrow. So unlike most here, I'm not going to panic. Or at least I'll try, lol.

i agree i actually loved the draft and love the direction of this team

but were 2 -3 years away easy

unless we get kirk cousins next year then i think we can compete next year

From reading their comments it sounds like they have never lost or will ever lose a game. Niners are just getting started with a new HC and GM. It's going to take a couple of years to be competitive with the top teams.
