Are you absolutely sure hyde can perform in this offense? Until I see it in a game, I'm not. I understand this depth chart is largely based on snap count but there is a reason players practice with the second and third team as well. As of today that depth chart is probably accurate, unless you have unknown information.

I have no idea why you think he won't do well? Phoenix already stated it lol.

The depth chart, so far is made up by the communications department not based off snaps that's what I was saying. There's a reason Hyde has been rolling with the 1st team since day one.

How about we wait until the third game when we'll see who's where on the depth chart? That's fair.

That is almost too good to be true....is it? It is PFF...

While I like to used PFF, OL rankings imo are hard to go by with them...but hey it's postive stuff which is nice every once in a while lol

He would most likely consider it since baalke is gone but I highly doubt lynch would accept him. Lynch had a zero tolerance rule with players
Who quit on their team. (He wasn't even considering the RB Williams because he heard he quit on his team), but maybe we could trade him.

I did like him as a player though. He was a good tackle, not great but good enough.

There is a reason why Hyde had only had two carries in the first preseason game. If his status was at all up in the air you would have seen him play more snaps.

Some people seemingly just want Hyde to fail for the apparently unpardonable sin of being the guy who replaced Gore but he is a natural fit for this offense.

Over/under on injuries in today's full padded practice vs Denver?

2.5

We only counting our injuries?

yeah lol

Gonna go under.

Only 2.5? Over!

I'm guessing an OL, DL and ILB or S.

Over/under 12.5
How many times does Kyle Shanahan say "This isn't the Catalina Wine Mixer"

Can I get this in Crimson and Gold. Cause that will be my new niners shirt

It's unbelievable man...I swear people would rather have a player fail that's on a team they root for because of some agenda or so they feel like they're smarter than the HC/FO

Imo he's an ideal fit for Kyle's system and the only thing that would hold him back is the s**tty interior OL and injury.

Dude was born to play in an offense like Shanahan's. He demolished people in a zone blocking scheme in college, he ran for over 4.5 yards a carry in Kelly's more predictable inside zone oriented offense. Now you let him run from under center and give him a fullback. If he stays healthy he is going to crush people.

Hyde does what he does, and he does it well. Shanahan runs an outside zone, which requires the back to have the vision to see cutback lanes before they develop. It was initially reported that he wasn't doing that well at all.

Will he pick it up? Unknown. Will Kyle accommodate him and call plays more to his strengths? Beyond a doubt. But then Kyle is not really running the offense he'd like, and that in itself is a compromise. "Dude was born to play in an offense like Shanahan's". Not really true.

Ps. I'm not looking for him to fail.

Very much agreed on OL grades. But I do agree with this grade as I spotlighted him myself...pre season is good to use these grades because it's mostly straight up, vanilla play.

The rumors of a trade during the off season fueled the idea Hyde was expendable and/or Shanahan questioned his ability to play in his system...or saw him as a luxury and thought they could trade for a need. Since he wasn't traded it might mean all this was just a rumor and Hyde will be the starting RB this year. I really want to see him running in the rest of the preseason games and hope he is a beast. That would mean the RB position is very strong.

He is a pure one cut running back. We saw some of the success he had under Chryst running outside zone despite the offense mostly being a mess. You can look back to his days at Ohio State and see how well he excelled making those cutbacks to gain the most yards.

The claims of him struggling largely came from unreliable b******t merchants like Cohn.
