There is still a sneaky chance Smelter gets on this squad. He plays on special teams, he's the most unique receiver on the team with his size. He had a really good camp. I'd love to see him stick. For me you can cut Celek. Keep Bell an Smelter

Now thats a sneaky call.

My pleasure...fun little hobby to pass the time. It would be a bit unorthodox to keep 7 WR's but if two are primarily for ST's, what's the issue...same concept of keeping an extra ILB, S, CB, RB, etc. for ST.

I can see these 5 spots going in a dozen different ways.
Really think we should keep Bolden Jr as a legit return guy. It's not like any of the other options at WR6 offer anything: Smelter, Bourne (awful), et al. Might as well be the guy who can give us a big play or two this year.
Bolden jr, had the same pre season as Andrew Hawkins a few years ago. Smelter has way more upside, big strong fast. He has developed as well. Shanahan could have cut him ages ago but they saw something. There were plenty of reports of his strong camp. I don't think he is awful at all, I think he needs reps An playing time. I like Bolden, I also think there's a reason he was undrafted

Nailed it, for today, but I wonder if there is player or two about to be cut elsewhere who Lynch might snap up. This may be what we see tonight, but monday there might be some tweaks.

Also, I think with KJ, our "offensive weapon" able to play TE, you are spot on with only two TE's on the 53.

Yeah but it seems like all the beat writers have 3 TEs making it.

I can see it, having JK back up the move TE, and keeping two blocking TE's. I just would like to think for what we pay KJ, he can do everything....like Bugs Bunny.

Agree with Smoke, great job AB8 and Mr. Commander, Dial cut, and your predictions are holding strong.

You keep saying that but not even close...at all.
What makes it not close? I like Bolden. Tell me how it's different that he returned KO and punts against 3rd An 4th stringers?
I'm just pointing out I think Smelter is the better WR, also plays special teams as well.

Is 7 WRs unorthodox? Not sure if Kyle played a big part on the offense side of the 53 man in ATL. But they had 2 TE and 7 WR in 2015. And in 2016 had 4 TE and 6 WR. It was the first thing I checked when I read ur list. That's why I think you might be spot on.

No way Smelter makes this team unless its on the PS. We have 5 locks at WR, and the 6th spot will go to Bolden or Bourne, who outplayed him.

I can see 2 TE and 7 WR if they're torn on Bolden/Bourne, and think they can hide Hikutini on the PS.

Agreed. I'm sure they could sneak Bourne on the practice squad too. He had one good game and is pretty under the radar. Bolden would for sure get claimed.
So far so good on predictions, none of my 53 have been let go, just Don Jones has a Torn ACL, sucks, he would have been great on STs.

Also we ate $1.4M of Dial's base salary by cutting him, kinda surprised no one wanted him, his salary would be GTD no matter where he is if on a week 1 53 man roster. Figured we could get a 5th for him. Oh well.
