This may be a bit off topic but considering cut day is now 1 day (90 to 53) instead of several days, it's going to be interesting how teams deal with other teams cuts. Personally I don't think ShanaLynch will be sleeping on that day. I think there will be some quality players available on that day that will make our 53 vs what we think the 53 will be, based only on the 90 players we have now.
For a team on working it's way to try and get back in the playoffs... we don't have the pressure of a team to establish continuity. Like, if you catch my drift we have an advantage to make several moves after 53 man cuts and not "pay for it" as an outsiders questioning if that'll eff up your season if you were a contending team. Especially,if hypothetically speaking that team misses the playoffs.
Agree, and I'd be targeting teams with similar offensive systems that are playoff contenders to see who they cut with regards to possible offensive player cuts that might make our team. NC want's some big bodied WR's on our offense and there may be some after cut down day. I'd also look at any young O Linemen - specifically if any of those teams cut a lineman that's just ending his 4 year contract. On defense, I don't think defensive systems matter, I think I'd go on pure talent alone.
Just throwing out some names - Texans drafted Center Kyle Fuller (7th round), will he make the Texan's 53? Same with Redskins Center Chase Roullier (drafted in the 6th round). Green bay Offensive Tackle - Kofi Amichia (6th round). Detroit's Defensive End Pat O'Connor (7th round) Viking's CB Jack Tocho (7th round) Green Bay WR Malachi Dupre (7th round) 6'-3"
