At least Tonges has been a stud back up. Not much drop off when he's out there. Emerged as a pass catching threat.

He's a good pass catcher but he's not nearly the blocker that Kittle is so there is a drop off.

Im hoping he improves in that area. At least he has Kittle here to give him pointers on how to be a dominate TE blocker.

Gonna be missed sorely. Not so much in the pass game, because Tonges can catch plus he won't attract the attention that Kittle does. But definitely in the run game which has been struggling even with Kittle playing.

He certinly isn't going to suddenly improve in one week. He's not as big as Kittle so he may never be a good blocker. Kittles real value as a receiver is his raging bull style that often gets extra yards. Tonges hasn't shown that but he has good hands.

I'm more concerened with not having Kittle to start next season. It seems like every year we begin the season without one of our best offensive weapons.

this is why I kept hoping LYNCH would trade for Michael " Halloween " Mayer !! it's time to think of the future !!

I am but also love we are doing training camp with Tonges as TE1. Would love to draft another TE and possibly a 3rd (can be used in a fullback/H-back role).

Only thing to do is either trade for Mayer or trade for Tremble !!

So did he just step wrong to tear it? It looked like a non contact play.

We suck at running anyways lol. I would be worried if Tonges wasn't a stud in the receiving game.
